What are some of your comfort tv shows?

Does anyone have any shows that they watch over and over? One of my favourites is Shameless. I know a lot of people find it trashy but in a way, some of the characters remind me of people I grew up with

I also love Grace and Frankie and it's the type of feel good show i could watch over and over

Anyone have any good recommendations?

Some of these but also the vicar of dibley! Such gentle comedy, it’s comforting without the need to think about any of it. Very rarely catch an episode but will stick it on if I’m scrolling through the channels and spot it.

I love all of these suggestions and have written them all down. So many good ones and so many I never heard of before. Don't know how I didn't discover Dinner Ladies sooner Smile

The west wing - go through it all at least once a year from start to finish. And then dip in when I catch it on telly.

The 1986 6-part adaptation of A Little Princess starring Amelia Shankley and Maureen Lipman. I love it. I often watch it in the autumn, when evenings are getting darker. It's just lovely and cosy although obviously the middle episodes are harsh. I just love watching it knowing how it's going to end.

Foyle's War (I know them by heart but adore Michael Kitchen - he's a wonderful actor 🤩)
Morse (ditto, but John Thaw)
Frasier - such amazing teamwork

Not adding much by saying yes to Friends, Seinfeld, Parks and Rec, U.S. Office, Frasier.

Fans of Parks and Rec should track down 30 Rock, it's by Tina Fey, it's so tightly written and FUNNY (but hard to find...)

I've just had baby #2 and would not have made it through end of pregnancy/breastfeeding nights without Neflix giving me Jane the Virgin and Superstore. JTV has less punchlines but is so comforting, lovely, and all about women, families, what makes life worthwhile

Another parks & rec repeat watched! I also watch 30 rock, This Country and Gavin and Stacey to cheer me up whatever my mood.
Sex and The City is another one I’ll watch when I’m feeling low. I think it’s the nostalgia aspect. My most recent watch (DH & I have watched it all the way through twice now) is Life in Pieces on Amazon Prime.
