Does anyone have any shows that they watch over and over? One of my favourites is Shameless. I know a lot of people find it trashy but in a way, some of the characters remind me of people I grew up with

I also love Grace and Frankie and it's the type of feel good show i could watch over and over

Anyone have any good recommendations?

Peep Show.
I have watched all the series many times but they remain my go to whenever I'm lacking something to watch.

Detectorists is another one I've watched multiple times and I still love it.

Nonbio46 · 08/03/2021 23:59

Frasier is my favourite.

Four in a Bed.

It was friends and big bang theory. However they are on endlessly now my DCs like it so much, so I don’t tend to choose to watch them on my own.

My usuals now are Miranda are Modern Family (mainly the earlier series as I’ve seen them a lot). Also series 1 of community as I am only on s3.

If I can be bothered with DVDs then

SingToTheSky · 09/03/2021 08:34

Oops.

DVDs - less likely now we use so much streaming - mainly king of the hill but sometimes will and grace

Also love spaced, black books, Friday night dinner, green wing for comfort telly

ChrissyPlummer · 09/03/2021 08:36

Frasier, Miranda, Open All Hours, Keeping Up Appearances, Only Fools & Horses, 2.4 Children, Man About the House.

Warrickdaviesasplates · 09/03/2021 08:39

Criminal Minds. I can't even calculate the hours I've spent watching that show.

Started when the first episode aired when I was 15, and then I rewatched it from the start in preparation for each new season.

God only knows what I could have achieved if I put that many hours into something useful!

Weirdfan · 09/03/2021 08:39

Dinnerladies, Call the Midwife and Gilmore Girls, also love Shameless for similar reasons to you OP but not sure I'd call it comfort viewing Smile

UnitedRoad · 09/03/2021 13:01

@hippychick11 I’m so excited for you to be watching it for the first time. It gets better every time I see it

I got my 19 year old to watch it over the summer and she loved it too. It was so lovely to see it through her eyes.

I think it’s on Netflix for a few more weeks

toolatetofixate · 09/03/2021 13:13

Frasier

StellaAndCrow · 09/03/2021 16:00

Poirot. Llots of episodes available on
www.itv.com/hub/agatha-christies-poirot/1a5274a0008

Beautiful old settings, nothing too traumatic, all tied up nicely.

StellaAndCrow · 09/03/2021 16:02

And I second (or third) dinnerladies. Funny and lovely.

jay55 · 09/03/2021 16:03

Buffy, corner gas, Dinner ladies.
There are not many programs I can watch repeats of but those three are my warm blankets.

SparkyBlue · 09/03/2021 17:07

Frasier and the US Office are my all time comfort tv programmes.

SparkyBlue · 09/03/2021 17:09

Also meant to say that I've been recording The Royal every afternoon and really enjoying it. It's nice easy viewing I'm really enjoying it and I look forward to each episode (yes I know how sad I sound).
