What are some of your comfort tv shows?

Does anyone have any shows that they watch over and over? One of my favourites is Shameless. I know a lot of people find it trashy but in a way, some of the characters remind me of people I grew up with

I also love Grace and Frankie and it's the type of feel good show i could watch over and over

Anyone have any good recommendations?

@Warrickdaviesasplates

Criminal Minds. I can't even calculate the hours I've spent watching that show.

Started when the first episode aired when I was 15, and then I rewatched it from the start in preparation for each new season.

God only knows what I could have achieved if I put that many hours into something useful!

Criminal Minds. I can't even calculate the hours I've spent watching that show.

I bet Dr Spencer Reid could. SWOON.

I rewatch Parks and Recreation a lot, and Avatar (TV on Netflix, not film) is something we rewatch as a family a lot.

WellJuhnelle · 09/03/2021 18:44

The Royle Family - makes me nostalgic for the 90s Manchester I knew

Alexandernevermind · 09/03/2021 18:46

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - don't judge, I'm in my 40s Grin. Just to prove my age I'll also watch any Agatha Christie.

The US Office by quite a long margin is my ultimate comfort show. I discovered it toward the end of my first pregnancy and I've loved it ever since :)

The other things I watch as comfort shows are a the cute cooking shows on Netflix Sugar Rush and the Zumbo one. For movies it is Mean Girls and Disney movies Halo

Last Tango in Halifax

Frasier and also Gogglebox. Maybe it’s because we watch GB on Fridays, it signals the end of the week, curled up on the sofa catching up on bits of TV programmes we’d rarely normally watch. Plus the lovely Saddiqis and Giles & Mary!

carolinesbaby · 09/03/2021 19:06

Star Trek, the old ones.

PetronellaOsgood · 09/03/2021 19:13

Frasier, always makes me laugh.
All Creatures great and small, the originals not the remake, so comforting.

AlohaMolly · 09/03/2021 19:23

Buffy!

It used to be the inbetweeners but not so much anymore. I like a good easy teen drama too BlushBlush so I’ve binged Dance Academy a few times!

US office, modern family, 24, Law and Order special victims unit (but only until stabler left), without a trace, Gavin and Stacey.

There's probably more

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 09/03/2021 20:59

How could I forget Buffy! And Angel but to a lesser extent

Leonberger · 09/03/2021 21:00

Criminal minds
House
Greys anatomy
American horror story

I seem to just rotate them over and over Grin

I've watched it all the way through 3 times 😅 probably due for a 4th soon.

Oh and dance moms. I've watched that 3 times too - all 7 series. Series 8 isn't worth a rewatch after all the original girls left.
