Likely lad is about 35 and his dad moved in with him

The blurb makes sound son is younger

I loved this episode.

guy seemed lovely (initially I had my doubts) and woman worked so hard!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/03/2021 13:43

Just seems weird to swap when no young kids

I also judged the guy in the beginning, with his Bentley and blingey watch talking about house prices. But he turned out to be a lovely bloke, and what an opportunity he offered that lady in the end! Life changing.

The dad was great too.

ChessieFL · 02/03/2021 16:02

I thought this was a lovely episode, both families were lovely

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/03/2021 19:31

He did a lovely thing

But she was amazing to do all that she did, with money issues

Yes they were both likeable but the single mum was just lovely
And it's just so sad about the dad ☹️

What lovely couples

Rich going to wash cars to earn extra money. Then paying for few weeks food and helping poor family get a better paid job

The 'poor house' is an absolutely lovely house!!
They had proper nice furniture and the rich house was only a bit bigger that was the only difference!

Donkeydonut · 11/03/2021 00:00

I was confused, we were calling it house house as couldn’t see much difference. Didn’t enjoy it like last week.

ChessieFL · 11/03/2021 06:16

Agree, the ‘rich’ house, while nice, wasn’t that special - if I had that much money I wouldn’t want to live crammed in a housing estate like that (not that there’s anything wrong with housing estates, that’s where I live now, but if I had more money I would want more space!). And the poor house was lovely! It didn’t seem as big a difference between the two families as it usually does. Agree they were both lovely families though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2021 08:32

So nice he finally got a well paid job

And reduced debt

E3

A former bankers family struggle on under 150 a week ( they should be lucky it’s not one of the 75/100 a week families lol

While jade and dean and 5 kids don’t know how to spend 1300 weekly allowance

I'm feeling a bit weary that the recurring theme in the rich houses is selling coaching services. Especially as there are MLMs sucking people in to that at the moment.

I liked the property couple, the woman especially given her family were wealthy, she seemed to have her feet on the ground a lot more than her husband.

So, so agree with this. It’s a murky old world.
Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2021 17:02

Serious question here

Why if struggling /don’t have money. Would you have 5 kids

One obv had at 15 and meets new partner

But why have another 4 kids - have 1/2 more

Rich mum was lovely. Really struck with her how little money poor family had

OP posts:
jay55 · 15/03/2021 18:36

I couldn't understand the poor family this week at all. The mum dropping hours at work when they're on key electric, have a busted cooker and so many mouths to feed. I did wonder if childcare had fallen through or her partner didn't like her doing well at work.

I don't know, something just felt a bit off, insincere. Maybe it's just that I didn't warm to them because they were so sneery about the rich family.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/03/2021 18:45

As she missed out on eldest child that she wanted to be round the youngest

But why have 4 more if can’t afford the 2/3 you have

But yes surely you would work more hours to earn more money if you could

OP posts:
creepingthyme · 16/03/2021 16:08

I would definitely be in the poor category if I had 5 dc and dropped down to p/t hours.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/03/2021 20:22

I’ve always said I’m in the poor 10% according to them as have less then £150 a week left over

Prob more like £50 once paid all bills food etx

But I have a good life. Go on holidays when allowed lol

Wouidnt call myself poor tbh

OP posts:
lynsey91 · 17/03/2021 08:40

So often the poor family have 3 or more children and the rich family only have 1 or 2.

Why do poor families have so many children? So stupid

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2021 16:51

Yes the poorer larger families never swap with rich large

I want 3 to have to share a room in the swap instead of having room each at home
