How come only the lad was going to the secondary school?
Looked like there were a couple of older girls there that looked school age but didnt show them in uniform or going to school?
All that new uniform, so wasteful and stupid.

Wondermule · 01/03/2021 22:38

I have to be honest, I am envious of how well behaved their kids are and how nicely they come across.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2021 22:44

So Noel had the 9 eldest

Sue was cooking with the 4/5yr

Who was looking after the other 3/4 youngest

Sue had Phoebe, Hallie and Archie who I think are 3, 4 and 5, while baking. then there are 2 younger ones I think Bonnie and Heidie but they could have been having a nap when they were baking, or maybe Chloe or Millie were looking after them as they were not with Noel.

I thought it was a bit wasteful that they got new uniform every year. I think a lot of people do, though. I only have 2 kids but I don't replace everything every year.DD is year 10 and shes had 2 blazers since year 7 and 2 sets of skirts and still looks smart. I was actually surprised the school uniform bill wasnt higher. Branded school uniform is usually pretty expensive

Onlinedilema · 01/03/2021 23:01

Does anyone know how many of them still live at home? Have some of them left home and how many of them have their own children. I know Millie had her own child and I assume still lives at home. I'm just curious.
Also how do you remember who every one is? I'd struggle to get the names right if I'm honest!

londonmummy1234 · 01/03/2021 23:02

How can they afford a Range Rover??

louise5754 · 01/03/2021 23:02

They have a son and daughter who have kids too

fizbosshoes · 01/03/2021 23:04

I was slightly bemused when they all went to bed early before school and he sent half of them (but not the youngest ones) up at 7pm! I'm pretty sure one of them who is 9 was sent up at 7 before the 4 and 5 year olds! Confused

purpleme12 · 01/03/2021 23:05

It said the son who's preparing to leave home is the 3rd one to leave so there must only be 2 who have left

StormcloakNord · 01/03/2021 23:07

I was just reading a random thread on Reddit the other day about children of large families.

Several people commented how much they resented having to look after younger siblings instead of having a childhood.

I often wonder if in years to come we'll hear many of the Radford children coming out and saying the same thing.

louise5754 · 01/03/2021 23:09

Chris and Sophie. Chloe left for a bit then went back.
BigSandyBalls2015 · 01/03/2021 23:12

I was also surprised the uniform didn’t cost more. It cost me over £400 to kit my two out for high school (state not private).

creepingthyme · 01/03/2021 23:14

Anyone who has followed this family from the beginning can see how staged this programme is. They used to always do hand me downs as they couldn't bloody afford new clothes for everyone before they started YouTube.
I suspect Max starting school was staged during lockdown, there were hardly any other pupils going into school, it looked dead.
And Noel spending "one to one" time with his boys and going to football matches? He used to say that extra curricular activities were a waste of time and they would never encourage them. This family are so desperate for money clearly that they have to court what the media want to see.
As for the children being well behaved... just watch one of their vlogs. The dc are constantly shouting and screaming for attention, it's a sensory overload just watching them.
I feel really saddened by how this family (who were initially very interesting) twist everything to suit their agenda. I imagine this time around they have employed PR people to make them look better than the last time. Funnily enough this is the first program where their ages haven't been mentioned.

Onlinedilema · 01/03/2021 23:15

Thanks, so now of them still live at home.

purpleme12 · 01/03/2021 23:20

I agree actually that this one does seem staged

RoosterRoosteringFree · 01/03/2021 23:30

@StormcloakNord My mum was the 2nd of 13 children. She’s told me she resented spending her whole childhood looking after toddlers. She couldn’t go out and play with her own friends and have fun. My mum hated the school holidays because there was no escape from relentless screaming babies, cooking, changing dirty nappies etc

fizbosshoes · 01/03/2021 23:32

Ive seen them from 15 kids and counting, although I don't watch their vlogs
One thing Id be intersted to know (but never been addressed in any of the programmes) is how they keep on top of all the diary and admin for that many kids - dentist, doctors, orthodontist, opticians (?)possibly speech therapy, school assemblies, trips, school dress up days, harvest fastival, charity collections ,consent forms for nasal flu vaccines/covid tests, parent teacher meetings, teacher collections at the end of term etc etc. I know MN really poo-poo SAHM for listing home admin as a job but on this scale it surely must be absolutely relentless?! Confused

I'm more interested in that and the practicalities of say one of the kids needing a dentist apt...would they have to drag 8 pre schoolers/primary age kids with them each time any of them ever had to go to an apt? What if the older ones were at college or work? Although obviously Sue and Noel are both out of the house when they have the yearly baby so assume the older kids assume responsibility.

And how do they find time to help kids with school work (in normal times) or projects , or even the logistics of dropping and picking them up from clubs or friends houses.

I'm more intrigued how that side of thing happens than how many pints of milk they consume a day, or how kilos of washing their machine takes.

StormcloakNord · 01/03/2021 23:37

@RoosterRoosteringFree that's so sad! I'll never be able to understand the mentality of women who keep just churning babies out... between the massive environmental impact on that many children and the cruelty to the older children never having peace/privacy/space to themselves it honestly just seems cruel...

In the case of Sue I think many people acknowledge there's mental health issues there anyway related to constantly having babies considering the young age she started at... not that we're allowed to say that or threads get pinged.

Think 19 of them live there

Eldest 2 moved out /had kids. Think 5 between them

Now raf leaving so will be 18

Plus one lives at home with their child / their 6th grandchild

22 kids is ridiculous but so long as the tax payer doesn’t have to foot the bill, then let them get on with it

It's ridiculous to claim the taxpayer isn't footing the bill. In addition to child benefits the family is getting its full whack of taxpayer funded NHS and education services.

StormcloakNord · 01/03/2021 23:58

Also... where do they all sleep? How many bedrooms does their house have? (I haven't watched their latest programme in case it's covered there)

louise5754 · 02/03/2021 00:21

10 bedrooms

StormcloakNord · 02/03/2021 00:25

I don't understand why you'd keep having kids knowing they'd have to share rooms Confused

supernova89 · 02/03/2021 00:25

@Blondeshavemorefun

Can we not mention what we are not meant to mention

Or this thread will go pop

Thank you :)

You've just got me curious now as to what we're not supposed to mention... lol ??
supernova89 · 02/03/2021 00:28

Never mind. I just read the thread back and saw the big secret not to be mentioned. I wish them the best.
