Anybody know when it starts? All I've found is this Radio Times article saying it will start before the end of March this year. www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/line-of-duty-season-six-release-date/ Kelly Macdonald is due to guest star.

Can't wait!

(Apologies if there's another thread, I couldn't find one.)

@Buggerthebotox

It's Terry from S1 then?
He was being used as a cuckoo (people using his flat) by the Organised crime people. His fridge was the one where the body of the woman from season two (?) was kept until season 5. But I thought his flat was opposite the printers in season 5 because he took photos of the police raid, so surely Kate would have recognised the location. He will also know what’s is name, the young lad who joined the police in season 5 but has presumably now qualified .

I think the shouty police superintendent (?) the one yelling at Kelly was the same one who took over from Thandie when she was temporarily demoted, but I could be wrong.

The very tall police officer reminds me of Dot! I hope he isn’t a relative. [ grin]

all first episodes set up the story and a lot have to set up characters and situation to, this ep had one of those to do and was a bit low energy don't you think?
i wasn't left on the edge of my seat

maybe I've been looking forward to it too much with not much else to do, lol.

UCOinaUCG · 21/03/2021 22:10

Steve and Ted seemed very subdued. I hope they ramp up a bit.

littlefireseverywhere · 21/03/2021 22:11

Ooh, I really enjoyed it.

Encyclo · 21/03/2021 22:11

Very inscrutable expression on Jo's face as she watched Terry being driven away

Titsinknicks · 21/03/2021 22:12

Wasn't Jackie's body found with Stephen Graham's body - her bits were in the freezer in the flat of the young Chap who was tonight's suspect? Sorry forget his name. Boyle

OhWhyNot · 21/03/2021 22:12

It was hard watching the interview. It I think it’s honest sometimes that isn’t always what we want to watch

TheCuddy · 21/03/2021 22:12

@FlatToppedTree

I watched all 5 series in 7 days a couple of weeks ago, but I can't remember if Jackie Laverty's fridge body was ever found?
Stuffed in the bag with John Corbett's body.
SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 21/03/2021 22:12

I really enjoyed it too.

JovialNickname · 21/03/2021 22:12

Weren't Jackie Laverty's legs (and other parts) dumped with Steven Graham when he was killed? I'm not sure if she was identified though.

beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 21/03/2021 22:13

viques Yes - the younger thin sucked in cheek fella reminded me of Dot - ot just had that bent look...watch this space.....

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 21/03/2021 22:13

Yeah, Jackie Laverty was found last series.

JovialNickname · 21/03/2021 22:14

I really enjoyed it, thought it was great!

I actually had to remind myself he died last season. It honestly could have been his younger brother

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 21/03/2021 22:14

I love the fact that the freezer was missing.

MarieDelaere · 21/03/2021 22:15

Is it annoying anyone else that they're doing such a piss poor job of interviewing Terry? Using unnecessarily complicated language that he would have limited understanding of. It's glaring.

Yes, that wasn't believable even if the solicitor was also bent.

I think the appropriate adult does very little usually, tbh. But not that little.

beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 21/03/2021 22:15

JovialNickname Yes - if the body parts were dumped with Corbett the fridge will have been removed I guess, but what makes me suspish is the very good clean up in Terry's flat - points towards someone with access to forensics stuff?

bellsbuss · 21/03/2021 22:15

OH has completely done my head in watching it asking me a trillion questions about what is going on. In the end I had to shout I DONT FUCKING KNOW !! il ha to watch it on my own from now on.

TheSpottedZebra · 21/03/2021 22:15

It was, or bits were anyway- showed up with the body of the Stephen Graham character (John Corbett? ).
ImAncient · 21/03/2021 22:16

Both Dh & I at the same time as Terry being driven off said ‘he’s dead’

beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 21/03/2021 22:16

Why did they never identify the legs?

putcarpetdown · 21/03/2021 22:16

wonder why we saw her linger and decide to keep the keys to ex's house, must be significant

TheSpottedZebra · 21/03/2021 22:16

Oh, everyone else said that about JL body!
Also, lingering shots of Jo's fridge there too...

NoWordForFluffy · 21/03/2021 22:17

If they'd left the freezer then Jackie's DNA in it would've linked Terry with the OCG which they (the ones setting him up / using him) would want.

I wonder if Ryan is involved somewhere in the background?

ScienceSensibility · 21/03/2021 22:18

That was brilliant.

Going to rewatch now for the clues..

Noticed golf clubs in the Super’s office. Nice nod to The Caddy and also tells us what type of police officer he is..

Jo’s mother must be someone significant from past series...

Jed Mercurio is a brilliant writer for TV. Lots of red herrings and cul de sacs, with the odd gem hiding in plain sight. Love the build up.

Six more weeks to go.
