It’s back!!! Now with extra added Alan Carr!!!

Starts tonight. I didn’t find the first series until well after it finished and binge watched it, enjoyed following the thread on here as I did so but I was way behind the time to contribute anything.

Looking forward to enjoying this series hopefully with some viper chatter as we go along. Come on in, all opinions welcome!

I like that dark green as long as they don't over use it

As someone who's worked in a LOT of offices I have to say pet hates:

Open plan - background noise is murder for concentration levels and for phone calls

Stylish but uncomfortable chairs! Just gimme a good quality adjustable, cushioned, armed chair!

That 3D wall art I suspect will turn out to have been costly time wise

Wall paint on cushions?! Is that a good idea health wise? I'm thinking in terms of paint on skin on whoever sits there?

Standrewsschool · 09/02/2021 20:34

The teams are teams of three, and at the beginning they all discussed their designs, and compromised on designs, or worked out how they would merge together.

Each office has to have a meeting area, work area and relaxing area.

I quite like the orange.

Standrewsschool · 09/02/2021 20:35

Wall paint on cushions?” Why?

bluerad · 09/02/2021 20:35

@Arrivederla

Bleurgh - that orange colour! Shock
I love it! I think it is such a positive and friendly colour.
Graphista · 09/02/2021 20:35

See I'm not the only one horrified by the chair painting!

TheSpottedZebra · 09/02/2021 20:35

I feel like Barbara's 3d model has ruled the roost today.

Graphista · 09/02/2021 20:40

Controversial but I have to say I LOVE the idea of swings in an office! I can absolutely see that making people open up and think differently and feel a bit energised? It's a way of gently exercising so would increase circulation and respiration which can help brain activity

Standrewsschool · 09/02/2021 20:40

Not keen on the fist room. Too fussy.

LemonViolet · 09/02/2021 20:40

Oh just realised this is post covid - do these designs account for social distancing!!!

I quite liked Charlotte's wall mural.

LemonViolet · 09/02/2021 20:42

Oh those desks look like working in a cage

I am not keen on Amy's stadium seating. Imagine climbing that in a skirt? Especially when you are vertically challenged as well.

Standrewsschool · 09/02/2021 20:43

I like Jon’s meeting room.

Winniewonka · 09/02/2021 20:43

I wish they would all stop saying their designs are 'mid century', when they're quite clearly not. The colours and patterns are definitely 1970s! There's a world of difference between 1957 and 1977.

TheSpottedZebra · 09/02/2021 20:44

I really like Charlotte's elements too.

But the tiered seating was just stupid. It wasnt pointing at anything, youd not want to sit next to someone else's feet, or where their shoes had been. And those swings were just ridiculous.

TheSpottedZebra · 09/02/2021 20:45

Is anyone else playing spot the ikea piece?

LemonViolet · 09/02/2021 20:45

Oh green/pink wins for sure!

I was thinking this too but as I have ocd I wasn't sure if that was just me

Standrewsschool · 09/02/2021 20:46

The third room is definitely the winner. Paint design may be a little dark, but it’s the most coordinated.

TheSpottedZebra · 09/02/2021 20:46

This 3rd one is very cohesive. The 1st one, not at all.

Standrewsschool · 09/02/2021 20:47

I immediately said that my brothers had wallpaper like that in the 70s!

Graphista · 09/02/2021 20:48

I do like the whiteboard dividers

dillite · 09/02/2021 20:48

Lynsey's office part was my favourite bit. I think it worked the best as an office space.

Cornetttttto · 09/02/2021 20:49

Sequin beanie?

TheSpottedZebra · 09/02/2021 20:49

Victory for Barbara's 3d model!
