Bereft finishing the West Wing, what next?

I have just two episodes left of the West Wing and am distraught! I have adored every minute. Can anyone recommend anything to fill the void? I'm after something with well drawn characters you grow to love, nothing with loads of death or gore, or too tense at the moment.
Other things I've loved have been Suits, Bodies, line of duty (though that might be too tense for me currently), House of Cards, hospital ones like Grays Anatomy/ER but find they get a bit formulaic after a while, No Angels. Any suggestions?

@fluckityfluckfluck it's on All 4. They put it on back in October, literally an hour before I was about to bite the bullet and buy the box set . That was one of my best days last year!

TWW is on All4 at the moment. (Am another who rewatches all the way through, did it last time to watch while listening to the West Wing Weekly podcast, and I'm on season 4 again on a lockdown rewatch).

I've also got Scandal on the go.

Trying to watch Good Omens on prime but can't get into it.

Also rewatching Designated Survivor (started that after Capital riots) on Netflix.

Mad Men, I've heard people talk about that.

I've seen Mad Men @Coffeeand , loved that too, though not in the warm way I love the West Wing ! Thank you though .

The Good Wife (legal drama) is excellent

Maybe also How To Get Away With Murder (a Shonda Rhimes show like Scandal/Grey’s)

Where is the Good Wife these days? (I was on season 5 when Netflix cancelled it).

That's so weird OP I finished TWW last night! First time I'd ever seen it and it was amazing - I dreamt about them all last night - sad!

This is us is great on Amazon. I'm contemplating my next watch - a toss up between the latest season of that or the latest season of The Crown. Need something fairly short after that marathon!

Scandal? Sports Night?

Friday Night Lights. Not sure what you can watch it on these days, but it is amazing and wonderful. It's my second favourite after TWW.

Succession? It's bloody brilliant!

GrouchyKiwi yes to FNL - that is my absolute favourite! Sadly not free on Amazon prime at the moment but it will be again at some point.

Brothers & Sisters is also great on Prime, with the gorgeous Rob Lowe.
