Sonia being burnt out is a bit much.
We know that the NHS workers are on their knees and working so hard but having this as a story isn't needed on a soap. I'm sure many front line staff want a bit of escapism on their days off , not seeing it all again on a tv drama.
Sonia would know where to receive some help too, I'm sure.
It feels wedged in. Plus she is annoying!

I was wondering if it has been, after the feedback received for the Casualty episode.

Totally, plus what is story point? Do we have watch her have a breakdown, no thanks. She’s got no young kids, she’s not home schooling when she should be sleeping after a night shift. Feels like story line exist as she’s not had a line in a year

What was the casualty feed back? Although actively watching a TV drama set in a hospital is for the few. Anyone of us could end up seriously ill with this no matter how careful. Don’t need more than token nod to it.
Let’s make the Covid hero films when it’s over by all means. I don’t think telling the Public your nurse will be on her knees if you are unlucky enough to need hospital care in global pandemic helps anyone. Even if it is true

I'm not sure about Ruby being pregnant. I remember thinking she might have been last week when someone said she didn't have a maternal bone in her body (or words to that effect) when she was in the park!

But tonight it looked like she was desperately grasping at straws to hang onto her husband, so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh and poor Patrick! If Lucas watches him die and doesn't do anything to help him, he really will be showing he still is pure evil afterall 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think she would be heading into Pat Butcher territory if she sported those short haircuts now, back then she did look gorgeous with short hair I agree, but she was slimmer and of course a lot younger, her hair even if it’s not to everyone’s taste balances her out, plus it suits her ‘real housewives of Walford’ style! I think she looks great personally.

She used to have that look, it did suit her.

Whenever I see Sharon I just obsess with long it must take her to do her hair and apply all that make up. Surely just once we can see her first thing looking normal!

Agree with other posters about the Sonia storyline.
I work in a hospital (not frontline) and I certainly don't want that sort of storyline. I'm glad they're hardly referencing it in other stories.
So it's weird, she's on her knees at work, but everyone else is in the caff, pub, in and out if houses etc so there's a total mismatch.

I don't watch Casualty but just googled the episode discussed up thread. They seem to have managed to do it very well. No way should Eastenders try and incorporate an NHS covid story into this mess of a soap. It will be embarrassing.

Last bloke, Max, Ruby basically said “I’m seeing other mean, deal with it” now she’s paying people to take martins children away so she can have him to herself and either knowingly getting pregnant despite knowing he doesn’t want it or lying about being pregnant!

Why are they changing Ruby's character??She was a no-nonsense, don't need a man, I can stand on my own- type of person and now she is shrivelling to Martin and acting very insecure. Come on Eastenders! I love seeing women who are strong and don't take bullshit from men.
