Who's your favourite West Wing character?

I know, I know, how to chose, they're all so fabulous. But I've been considering this for many years, and keep returning to the same conclusion: mine is Toby. He's not the most charismatic, but he's so very intelligent and blisteringly sarcastic, and God help me, I just love a grumpy man.

So who's yours?

My choices for names for my son were Toby, Josh, Sam or Leo, btw!

Toby or CJ. It changes on every rewatch.

(Or Sam. Or Mrs Landingham. Or The President. Equal third place.)

Leo - what a great actor. Well they were all fabulous though tbh.

Oh so hard to choose but ultimately probably Toby too with CJ a close second. He's got such a strong moral compass and he's so funny.

Toby was on my baby name list too but DH vetoed.

we are watching this for the first time. I started with Sam, now I am on CJ, although Toby is catching my attention and latterly Leo.

I would have said Josh on first watch, or CJ. Currently on third watch (at least) from start and Josh is annoying men, he's so needy. CJ in Leo's job is definitely the best CJ. And I am not liking Toby as much because I know what's coming.

Mrs Landingham never had a bad line.

CJ. But our second child was a boy so he is called Leo. 🤣🤣

Toby the CJ as press secretary- great acting but didn’t feel right for the character after that

Followed by Leo I think. And obvs love Jed. Had a soft spot for Abi too. And Charlie.

They're all brill really aren't they.

Oh Fitz! He was immense also. And Nancy. I just love them all.

It's so hard to choose! I think all of the main characters are so watchable - that's part of what made it such a great show. Least liked characters would be easier to answer (though it would be a very short list!)

All of them! Josh possibly just edges the others out. Then Leo, Toby, sam. Loved Dulé Hills character too. And Donna. 🤦🏽‍♀️ like I said. All of them!

I'm rewatching for the third time at the moment and still love Josh. Followed by Toby I think. It might be me getting old but Sam gets more ridiculously handsome with every rewatch.

CJ. I love her! When she gets the chief of staff job offer the guys it makes me smile so much. My DVDs have stopped working I've watched it so many times really need to find another way to watch it it is my comfort TV.

So many people have recommended WW to me and I have really tried but they are all so unlikeable and annoying. I just don't get it.
