We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

The colonel and his section discover a mass grave.

Tut, tut eejit - not convinced by the realistic set locations??

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:26

I'm sure that building is one they used for training and practise in a much earlier series of Soldier Soldier!

More atrocities - yes this is very grim stuff this week.

eejittwo · 09/02/2021 21:28

Am I ahead of you? Mark’s getting the good cop treatment.

Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:28

Yes ilove it looks like the pretend village they have for practice. Paddy and Dave ran about there in about series 2.

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:28

Some civilians have been shot in the head in their own beds. Gruesome.

And Mark is going to be tortured again I bet. Maybe it's a good cop, bad cop thing.

Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:28

Just reached the good cop stuff now eejit

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:29

The "good cop" was educated at Rugby and Sandhurst.

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:30

Ah, good cop thinks Mark is SF.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:30

So, the good cop is trying to get him to confess who his regiment are etc

eejittwo · 09/02/2021 21:33

Where are Mollie and Georgie when you need them?

Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:34

Chris and his teams crash through the barrier in the woods and carry on their way. Jeremy is finding it difficult to get through the town because of snipers.

Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:35

It's very tetchy amongs the officers. Colonel has been hit and is very badly hurt. Needs his miracle doctor wife now - one woman A&E department - "MEDIC!!"

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:35

Oh no, the Colonel and Jeremy have been involved in a blast. The Colonel's foot has been blown off.

It's very gruesome tonight.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:36

Bet she won't leave the Colonel now, if he''s likely to lose his foot.

Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:36

Jeremy is hit too, but not as bad - awkward!!

Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:38

I reckon this is a tame brit they've put with Mark to make him talk without realising he's giving anything away.

Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:39

Meanwhile, down in the sewers, Tim has to take charge.

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:40

Chris McLeod thinks he can talk to the civilians as he would his troops and it just doesn't work like that.

Back in the capital, it looks as if the enemy troops have captured a VIP civilian and thrown him in a cell with Mark.

Oh, he's the Governor of the island.

OP posts:
eejittwo · 09/02/2021 21:40

Oh dear, spoiler alert, poor Jeremy.

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:41

Tim and his section are in the shaft or tunnel or whatever it is (I may have zoned out for a few mins, sorry).

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:43

Jeremy and the Colonel are airlifted away on their stretchers.

The Governor has either heart problems or asthma I would guess. Mark is actually quite calm and trying to keep his spirits up.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 09/02/2021 21:44

The Colonel isn't very likeable. Told you though that she'll never leave him now. Jeremy loses out again...

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2021 21:44

The Colonel is trying to pull rank even when he's about to have his foot amputated.

Jeremy must be wondering where this leaves his affair with the Colonel's wife!
