I’ve been to previous recordings and they are shot pretty much as you see them. Start and end bits we were in the audience for an hour

The sports relief with Sue and Paddy McGuinness took 4 hours to record cos of them both messing about. Even Matt Dawson was giving them answers to move them along

Because it's encouraging them to try and so far too much and too many skills in the time, and there's a little too much variation in what they could do so no real level to assess them against

Aren't they assessing them against (for example) their own knowledge of a good babka, good profiteroles, good cake etc?

I suspect P&P have enough experience between them to assess if the bakers produce good examples of that particular bake - they never do direct comparisons as there's always so much variation in flavour anyway

Everything Dave does is annoying me, poor man - even referring to his soon to be born baby as 'little bubba'. I need to calm down 🙈

Peter seems to have oddly disengaged unless it's just dramatic editing to fool us.
