Hmmm not a clear winner then

Laura's bakes looked lovely but the presentation was just a pile of cake.

Not Dave - I feel sorry for him if he wins I think he will struggle under the pressure. Shame cos he’s probably lovey just extremely socially awkward - Can’t think of anyone else over the years they’ve let in like that. It’s not just about the baking is it they make sure they’re all media savvy too.

And no way is this the closet final.

Late to the thread but Laura's showstopper seemed to be the judges favourite in terms of flavour.

Laura is nice but I think it is fair to be detracting her cake presentation

Also, this was a shit final showstopper. Usually they have to bake elaborate wedding cakes with chocolate and spun sugar etc

Peter to squeak the win

I've thought from very early on that Dave is on the spectrum. I find him quite endearing. He's socially awkward but seemed genuinely encouraging of the other two then.

I don't know if I can call this now. Dave's probably looked the best but he had two not so great parts. I think Peter had 1? So he's still in the running.

I think he made his biscuits again but they didn't show it.

@hoxtonbabe I would have chucked those boards back at him - it was obvious he was grating the hell out of the other two.

Peter does look unwell doesn't he? Has done all series actually, very pale and a bit rashy round the eyes.

Peter had half his biscuit mix left so baked more.

I wondered about the biscuits too. To be honest I don’t think any of the showstoppers have the wow factor.
