Quickly whacking this up.

It’s weird, I thought all the chefs looked really uncomfortable last night. I am unsure if it was just what they were like, or if the missing chef was maybe making every one uncomfortable...

mrswhiplington · 25/11/2020 12:19

Just checked end of last weeks episode, the missing one is not walking down the street with them. No sign at all. I even checked for a bit of a shadow. Nothing.Shock

I thought so, too. Uncomfortable chefs, unhappy Marcus, over-acting hammy Gregg, Monica being a trooper - like they'd all just been through some sort of trauma.
HMSSophie · 25/11/2020 12:36

I have a friend who's a prof chef. He says that danish place - best restaurant in the world or something - where Jonno "worked" also graciously allows chefs to pay them to work there. Interestingly, for six months. Which is as long as Jonno "worked" there.

Bluntness100 · 25/11/2020 12:59

I reckon the missing person was very bad and threatened legal action, saying the comments were overly malicious/derogatory and would end their career if shown. Potentially even kicked off during filming. And the bbc didn’t wish ti be dragged into a potential court case, on whether the judges were too harsh or not.

Either way, that wasn’t a happy kitchen last night. Other than gregg who was trying to put a positive spin on it ,,,and failing miserably. 😂

JamieLeeCurtains · 25/11/2020 13:06

Yes, the atmosphere was very brittle, with Gregg over-compensating wildly.

The early glimpse of the Missing Chef's right side show it was a male, who at least started the skills test.

Peregrina · 25/11/2020 13:45

Whereabouts is the early glimpse of the missing chef?

Wherrsmaclickypen · 25/11/2020 13:46

Maybe it was Borat 😬

I found it in the Mail Online article
MaudTheInvincible · 25/11/2020 14:37

Pleased to find that DH and I aren't the only ones speculating like mad over the missing fourth contestant. MN has been more informative than anywhere else so far (and funnier) Thanks

I have to say, I wasn't aware that stenaline was noted for its culinary innovation.

Peregrina · 25/11/2020 14:40

But the person cooking next to Scott must have got through the invention test. I thought that was biskweet man myself.

Davros · 25/11/2020 14:58

I checked my recording from last Thursday too. Only the three we saw last night are shown at the end

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/11/2020 16:01

Dammit!

I want some beezkweets now and I am fat enough already.

BigFatLiar · 25/11/2020 16:01

So did they call the other three back to redo the end?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/11/2020 16:03

Either way, that wasn’t a happy kitchen last night. Other than gregg who was trying to put a positive spin on it ,,,and failing miserably.

More likely the greedy sod is so busy stuffing his face he hasn't even noticed.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/11/2020 16:10

The DM suggestions include "He made a real mess of the technical (crepes suzette) challenge".

Unless he threw an entire bag of unpeeled navel oranges into a pan of molten sugar before adding runny, eggless, batter, he can't have been any worse than Scott, who did complete (Hmm) the task.

MyBeloved · 25/11/2020 16:23

I have to know. I NEED to know.

Please, there has to be SOMEONE out there who knows - for the love of all that is holy!!

Peregrina · 25/11/2020 16:24

I wonder if mystery man did his technical challenge first and that threw Scott completely, because Scott really wasn't up to Masterchef standard from what we saw.

Reedwarbler · 25/11/2020 18:51

I have just read that it was possibly health related. Perhaps a contestant was taken seriously ill during filming, like a heart attack for instance. It is very stressful. They did all look a bit shell shocked too.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/11/2020 19:44

I agree Reedwarbler - they looked very shaken.

pinpinbin · 25/11/2020 19:49

is it not just more likely that they developed covid symptoms?

Sunbird24 · 25/11/2020 19:59

If they developed covid symptoms then wouldn’t everyone else in that kitchen have to self isolate, causing the whole series to be canned rather than just their appearance in it?

ILoveYou3000 · 25/11/2020 20:00

is it not just more likely that they developed covid symptoms?

I don't think that'd lead to them being edited out. A major medical emergency might though.

Wherrsmaclickypen · 25/11/2020 20:05

That would be very sad if so (illness).
