I can never get my head round the fact that Tina is a mother. She's like an overgrown toddler.

I don't mind Tina but she needs to sort it out! Plus why is nasty Gray now being nice to Shirley and letting her have people stay over when he hated Chantelle even speaking or looking at another person ! It's bizarre. Shirley seems to have a hold over him just because she stopped him killing himself and the kids. It's really unbelievable.

Loving Gray's instant personality/career change! Letting anyone come and stay in his house whenever they like and masterminding Phil's criminal activity with Shirley - yep, sure! I mean grief does funny things to people but REALLY?

Ollie and Abbie were so cute ! Beautiful looking children : she even resembled her ' mum' a bit I thought! It's sad that Rainie doesn't want to adopt her and not do the surrogate with Tiffany which would make more sense.

It's pretty dull at the moment. Hopefully it will get more watchable in the next few weeks with Mick's abuse story and whatever they've got planned for Christmas. I was hoping Linda would have that glass of wine just for the drama that would ensue. I don't like the new personalities of Rainie and Stuart , they were more interesting when they were single.

Linda and Max. So wrong on so many levels. Sharon has his number. She knows all about infidelity of course.
The mick abuse story is also boring and horrible and I hope it's resolved before Christmas as the thought of his miserable face on Xmas day will put he tin lid on a horrible year! Ditto Ian.

I think Danny Dyer is doing great with this abuse story which I find compelling viewing. Hopefully his abuser will get charged soon, I guess they're building up to it for Christmas. There's going to be some amazing acting from everyone involved, I think.

South, I know it's highlighting child abuse and being a boy it's different of course , but it's uncomfortable viewing and mick is better at being happy go lucky than miserable.

But you've been watching this for years, so you've watched many horrible stories - what is it about this that's repelling you, 80s?
