Oh yes . He was married to Sam Mitchell ( when she was played by Kim Medcalf) .
He managed to lock her out , get her to ring the doorbell, get her keys off her and her engagement+wedding rings then slam the door in her face . Then cut himself a slice of Christmas cake (Oh yes he did this at Christmas )

So when Kat is at it with Phil, she can think "your sister was married to the bloke I was this close > < to marrying " (until Alfie rolled up to rescue her )

Derek B was a good villain and actor but his character was so slimy! Played it well though.

What actually happened to kat and Alfie? He faked his death and ran off somewhere but then what? He left kat a wardrobe of (Phil's) money. I don't understand why kat got with kush though, had kat and Alfie split up before he left?

Stacey paid Phil his money back minus a few hundred for her mums cancer diagnosis (privately. )
Maybe he feels he needs to help them out a bit? He does tend to reward loyalty , however mis placed at times.

Yep, horrible episode, only good bits were Raymond and Kim. Aside from that everyone was bullying each other or being sly and snide. The writer must have been pisses off that day.
