Just a reminder that this fab programme is back

That people who spend £100’s a week amazingly reduce their shopping bill 😂😂

Assuming new series. Hope it is

Greg and Chris help a mum And her two boys Ditch the micro meals

What fabulous meals will they cook

What will they swap

And will they have the usual - I don’t like that - and it’s their usual brand 😂😂😂😂

I'm not saying she couldn't go for a walk but I'm saying I appreciate the point about it being her treat. The other habits I don't understand at all.
I also precook pizza bases on a skillet (which can also go in the oven if you're only doing 1) there are now so many resources available for preparing food for packed lunches and dinner that there ate few excuses for not doing it if you want to.

Finally watching

£315 a week. What do these families earn

That’s crazy !!!

Love the essay @Graphista. I had hoped you would reply

Will go and watch meals now

Can’t tell own brand of bread 😂😂😂

Cat wasn’t fussy

Obv a homemade pizza IS WAY cheaper then restaurants

Why so suprised over diff of coffee takeout. Average Starbucks is £3.50. Obv a saving

I'm just watching the recent one now. The mum! She is moaning about how boring her husbands cooking is. If you want something different then do it yourself!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/11/2020 19:04

She was a lazy mum

Grey and chris help out the Ahmed family

blondeshavemorefun that sounds very intriguing! Rather Babette Cole

People are bonkers. I grew up living in pubs so I wasn't around food shopping because well, we didn't have to do it
I picked a lot up from waitressing and pestering chefs with questions and reading cookbooks as internet wasn't really a thing
Now I shop by planning what I'll eat, and if something I always eat/use is on offer, I buy it then even if I haven't run out
So baked beans are on offer at £2, buy them. Then I don't need to buy them at the more expensive price because there will always be an offer by the time I run out!
Carrots, celery, onions looking a bit sad get chopped up and frozen for in stews. Doesn't have to be complicated, nothing wrong with an omelette and salad or veg
Mine isn't the cheapest shop but around £60 for me, cleaning/laundry products/loo rolls/toothpaste etc and 3 meals a day all in that

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2020 12:04

Tastes 😂😂

@Blondeshavemorefun

Tastes 😂😂
I wondered what you meant... I thought they had bowel issues...
longwayoff · 05/11/2020 14:23

Goat curry. You go to an area where the butchers sell goat. As a friend of mine did, needing enough goat to feed 30 at a wedding. You collect your goat, stick it in the boot of your car and pop into your son's house on the way home. 20 minutes later, someone has stolen your car complete with goat meat. It's summer. It's hot. 2 weeks later the police find the car and friend is asked to collect it from a couple of miles away. A posse of policemen awaited her and invited her to open the boot. The smell was so intense that they were expecting a corpse. Car scrapped. No curry.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2020 15:31

Wow. That a goat story

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2020 20:16

15m in and no moaning yet

They seem a bit dappy

How do people spend £200 a week and not know

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2020 20:23

VeggieSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 20:25

I didn't catch what he did for a job, they must be minted. He's pretty hot though Blush

VeggieSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 20:37

Definitely minted, the 2 year old is wearing a Ralph Lauren top....

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2020 20:57

Financial something

OP posts:
Pinkiii · 05/11/2020 21:07

That was a pretty boring episode.

Don’t think they were minted, he probably earns well but if they were surely they could afford the flight tickets.

Was that the last episode?

MadauntofA · 05/11/2020 21:10

There was no introduction to next week's episode, so it probably was the last one, or yet another break.
The porridge bake did look good, but crushed cardamon Confused

Akire · 05/11/2020 21:15

I thought was nice tonight, good to see both capable in the kitchen none of this I’m 45 and can’t chop an onion! Good to see different recipes, though I think porridge should be able to fall off your spoon, not go through a pane of glass Grin

Annoying that still doing the £200 a week ok maybe if we really good we can knock off £50!! Should do the odd One with an adult who has £25 a week and then show some us how can have 5/10 a day then instead of beans and pasta for every meal

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2020 21:25

This was no 5

There are 6

It’s sos next week

So one more left in maybe a month time 🙄

Did I miss the usual

That’s not mine

And it is

OP posts:
jay55 · 05/11/2020 22:19

They seem to be spending a lot less time with the family this week. Maybe as the kids are tiny so don't join in with the cooking.

Not seeing the usual is this breakfast/tea/beer your usual routine.
