I've just finished series 1again and can't wait to get back to series 2

It's not a spoiler to say that Keeley Hawes is fantastic in this role.

LatinforTelly · 17/08/2020 13:14

I missed this the first time round and am working my way through them. Onto series 3, episode 1. Yes, Keeley Hawes is fantastic in series 2.

Word of warning though, be careful googling cast lists as I did for series 1 but lots of other info came up just in the google list and I think I may have seen a spoiler for one of the much later series Hmm.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/08/2020 19:20

Maybe I will have to watch via iPlayer as love it

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/08/2020 21:26

MrsKeats · 26/08/2020 18:24

OMG how have I never seen this.
Series 2 here. The treatment of the policewoman in prison is shocking!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/08/2020 20:31

I’m the same @MrsKeats

On e6 now on s2

MrsKeats · 26/08/2020 21:09

It's quite complicated though. Have to concentrate Smile

BBCONEANDTWO · 26/08/2020 21:10

This is a no. brainer - you MUST go for it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/08/2020 21:37

I tend to watch at work when have Reflux baby over my shoulder

Still can’t beleive I didn’t watch all these years ago

OllyBJolly · 26/08/2020 22:11

Line of Duty was recommended to me by many kind folks on here. Probably the most gripping programme I've ever watched! Superb.

Bluewavescrashing · 26/08/2020 22:14

Mother of God... Do it!

I need to rewatch Grin

HarmonicAnalysis · 26/08/2020 22:31

Just discovered this, and it's amazing - best thing I've seen in years! Have binged series 1, 2 and 3 in quick succession. We need to slow down a bit or it'll be over too soon.

It did make me laugh seeing George Costigan in series 3 - the retired head of Vice. Thought he looked familiar, and then recognised him as Bob in 'Rita, Sue and Bob Too'. All I could hear in my mind every time he came on screen was 'I thought I were greeeeeaaat!'

So many good actors in this, and the storytelling is completely absorbing. Hooked!

LizB62A · 26/08/2020 22:39

I've just watched all five series - really really good !!
I'm amazed I missed this first time round.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/08/2020 15:38

S2. Spent the whole time thinking.

Was it him. Was it her. Was it him. Was it her

I liked the ending

Now to s3

areallthenamesusedup · 29/08/2020 23:19

If you haven't watched...look out for Bodies....same writer...brilliant!!!!!

As good as LOD

(Give it a swerve if you are pregnant though....set in a gynae ward)

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/09/2020 15:22

Bodies was fab. Saw originally and weirdly enough rewatched last year

Again another fab series

Now on s3

Without spoiling it - diff from 1&2

As those you didn’t know if he or she did he

But you know in s3 he did it from first few mins

That shocked me

eatsleepread · 01/09/2020 16:31

I was underwhelmed.

HarmonicAnalysis · 03/09/2020 00:17

Thanks for the Bodies recommendation, areallthenamesusedup - I didn't know about that one. Have just watched Series 1 over three nights, and it is indeed brilliant! And just as gripping as Line of Duty. Amazing how it doesn't feel dated at all. The only times I remembered it was from 2004 were seeing the odd glimpse of an old Nokia phone, and someone put in a floppy disk at one point, which made me do a double-take! But all the stories and themes are still so relevant that they could have been written yesterday.

Jed Mercurio - what a star!

WeAllHaveWings · 03/09/2020 00:31

We watched it for the first time a couple of years ago. Watching from the start now and just starting series 5 again. Think series 6 is due out next year, can't wait!!
