Anyone other than me and a couple of others on the Selling Sunset thread discovered this awesome reality series? The charter clients are insane, the crew is so bitchy (towards each other and the guests) and it’s just the most excellent escapism.

Rocky was crazy crazy.

This season is feeling like filler already. I know filming will have been cut short and they'll have had to make do with what they had. But decisions seem to take forever, much like making Captain's cereal.

I’ve just had a ad pop up that Captain Lee is on Cameo 😂

They are really stretching it out. The guests are on board for 2 episodes. You say hello one episode and goodbye the next. With a crew night out at the start or end of every other episode.
Episode 2 this season and weve still only had one evening dinner with them.

I want to know how they solve the deckhand situation. I hope they bring someone like Nico or Brian back.

I thought they would be getting a new stew.

I don’t mind that it’s stretched as I still love it 😂

I imagine it's stretched due to Covid becoming a thing during filming. I imagine they're stretching out what they managed to get.

I'd like a new deck hand to come rather than the stew going to work on deck.

I thought that stew wanted to be a deckhand but it wasn't confirmed yet.

I wonder if both of those other two deckhands will last the series. They both seem to be lacking somewhat ?

Think the stews are alright just need to be moulded to how the chief stew likes them

I just finished season 3. There was a lot going on this season. Surprised with Eddie's behaviour.

I was surprised they all seemed to be against Rocky at the reunion.

What are peoples thoughts of the current series now we are a few episodes in???

As northern bloke frequently complains they're all boring. No showmances, no mad ones getting their bits out, and seemingly no potential for that sort of thing later.

I love chef Rachel but the rest could blow overboard and id not notice.

I'm relieved to not have the awful things from last season but I'd bring back Rocky at this point.

That’s a great idea, but I need to make sure I do it when I know I’ve got plenty of days to binge watch... don’t want to squander a free month!

Watching season 3, what's with the guy opening bottles with his teeth?!

It made me worry for my own teeth!

Apart from Eddie (who I admit to having a major crush on), I'm really not impressed with Season 8 so far and I don't actually remember anyone's name. The Chief Stew is doing a terrible job but I also think 2nd Stew needs to have a word with herself too! She's full of it! About how she's working so hard and Chief Stew isn't recognising her talent. The new 3rd Stew seems great though. She's happy (after initial mini breakdown, poor thing) & very capable. I can't even be bothered to discuss the deck crew or the guests. Oh except for the cray-cray moment when one woman had a total shit fit because she fancied the English deck crew member and he was brought semi-naked to her friend's birthday meal. IIRC she flatly refused to stay seated at the dinner until the primary had a go at her. And even then she waltzed off asap!

So who does Rachel tell to 'go fuck yourself' next week, edited to look like Captain Lee, but there's no way.
I read that she and Eddie had a major bust up at some point and Captain Lee throws charter guests off the boat this series. I wonder if a charter guest had put something inappropriate on a preference sheet, like wanting a female chef because a woman's place is in the kitchen, or that they want the chef to serve food scantily dressed etc, I can't see Rachel standing for any of that kind of misogynistic bullshit.

Interesting that one of the twenty something douchebags who insisted on eating dinner off a near naked woman earlier this series, has now issued an apology, my take is that it's only that the behaviour is in the public domain that's prompted it rather than any actual remorse or enlightenment....

The football player apology did make it seem like it was a production suggestion rather than genuine request. Which I'd tend to believe given they were far more interested in Jell-O shots than the fancy sushi.

The go fuck yourself, I wish it was to Francesca who I'm liking less and less but I doubt it will be that exciting.

Will thicko environmental guy stay in a job? I doubt they can get replacements at this point due to covid, and I kind of like how he exasperates everyone.

@jay55 ahh sunshine, he's amusing to watch but would drive me mad as a colleague. I think he's got to go, Sandy would make him her pet project but Captain Lee is made of sterner stuff, the over 90 minute sleep in when he's been the first to go to bed, plus the lines issue which directly impacted CL have just sealed the deal I think. I agree they might struggle to replace but I don't think it'll be much different for the rest of the deck crew.
I'm not liking the interior this season, I can't believe it but I actually miss Kate, she made it all look so easy. I like Aisling but I've no time for Elizabeth (lazy, whiny) or Francesca (just not very good but thinks she is)

Oh he'd drive me batty too, I'm shocked he hasn't fallen overboard or slept in the wrong cabin yet.

Omg! Has anybody watched today’s ep? Elizabeth is delusional. And Rachel walking out like that! It seems like she was under a lot of stress anyway though.
