Eve has been my favourite throughout - so lovely to see her being asked back to do another shoot

Eve is lovely. So down to earth. They all had the opportunity to add anything they wanted to the water for the Rankin shot. In fact they commented that they wish Ophelia had added glitter to go with her look.

James I really like but he’s a hot mess in assignments. The strictly one was awful and as PP said the Rankin shoot looked like kids face paint. His earth was great and I thought the judges were being harsh until one said “he’s given us The Earth not earth” then it clicked for me too and I could see what they meant. His vision for earth wasn’t there. I think if he’s had more time to think the concept though he’d have done brilliant as he always seems to much better day 2.

Ophelia I don’t quite get her. I sometimes like her sometimes think she’s cocky and it’s not gelling for me. Her rudeness in the strictly week was surprising and really unprofessional. Her look was okay for air but it’s just showing good face painting again really albeit very grown up lines etc rather than kiddy stuff. Is it make up or face painting?

Hannah was the right person to go but I felt so sorry for her. I want to give her a big confidence injection she seemed so sure she’d done well for Rankin and it really floored her to be in the red chair. I don’t think she has the experience of some of the others so her final faces aren’t really right (she seemed to really pay attention to val talking her through the yellow v blue undertones - I don’t think she knew instinctively about that and hadn’t been trained either).

Rainbow eye - seemed daft. And again I felt Hannah’s lack of experience showed as she took it literally and did a rainbow really. Whereas Eve knew the look to go for with blending though she overdid it as they said.

Final next week. I think Eve win. Possibly wouldn’t mind James. looked like some scary type faces which plays to Ophelia’s strengths maybe.

Hannah is self taught. I think she is good but might benefit from a few classes just to learn about some of the technical stuff such as what base colour to use. I do wish that she would sort her eyebrows out. I am not a fan of the brushed up look.

I think Eve deserves to win, she's improved the most, has a lovely engaged manner in the tasks and with the models.
I also think she would be the one who would love an actual job as a MUA.

I think James & Ophilla are really lovely too, and obviously very talented, but if I was in a make-up chair, I'd want it to be Eve doing my make-up.

I've only just caught up, I'm another fan of Eve.
I wish they all would push themselves out of their comfort zone, is all a bit samey in the creative bit, at least Eve tried to get away from the'facepainting'.
Ophelia is very talented but also has the added ability of being artistic, poor Eve's drawings are like mine .
Belinda from last year has just had a baby .

I would LOVE it to be Eve! But probably Ophelia.

James has flashes of brilliance but it inconsistent.

Ophelia is very rarely poor - though I wasn't particularly impresses with "Air" myself She's pretty much a one-trick pony, and doesn't seem to have developed at all.

Eve is pretty consistent but sometimes "over-eggs the pudding"- though she's reining herself in. I think she's the one who has progressed the most. And she isn't letting herself get flustered the way she used to - she's learning how good she can be if she just steps back emotionally.

EVE.. . . but

I think it depends very much on the challenges.

I had problems with the telly and couldn't follow my favourites eg masterchef etc. It wasn't the same using the laptop and I was missing the cut and thrust of the intellectual debate (who ha the most impressive beard, tattoos etc)

I've been following sewing bee (usually a day behind) and glow up, and sticking my nose above the parapet every now and then - not as much as before though.

I have missed everybody though - you, and four and puffling and all of the gang. I couldn't find anyone when I'd been off for a while.

I think celebrity MC is starting up soon?

A few of her water shoot are on there too, one on her's, one on rankin's. There's some of her glitter shoot on the hunger magazine Instagram too spread around a few grid posts so looks like it was well received :)

No spoilers but having watched the final I think probably the best person one. Generally it was really disappointing though, boring first and third challenges and didn’t feel like a final at all.

Agree the final was a let down. No point in going from 3 to 2. Was probably the right winner but nothing in the final was wow for me.

I was disappointed in the final, too - but I wasn't surprised at the winner - I think the "fish" really was a let down.

Having said that, while it is a wonderful accolade, I wouldn't be surprised if both of the others get jobs in the industry. And maybe with less pressure on them to "perform'.

We all know each other up here .

No - I've been doing funerals and writing reflections for the parish magazine and online services and stuff like that. Have to admit have been feeling very, very low - especially when the Corona figures have come in today - the jump is HUGE! Partly because they've changed the way the count them, but it shows how complacent we're in danger of becoming - our numbers were high, but didn't seem to have increased much for a week (I had been very suspicious of this . . . ).

Yesterday's figures are finally available. The overall cases (nationally) are down by 30,000, but locally every area has increased by 50% and over.

I could weep. Quite literally, I could weep.

I need escapist stuff. I'm going to catch up on the MC today if I get the chance and rejoin the threads.

I'm lucky in Fr. our area is fine, masks are being worn by most. We do have to remember that it doesn't kill everybody who gets it by any means. Staying healthy is a great help too. ( I possibly got it mildly and wasn't even contagious) I'll know next week when I'm tested, because I can't wait to get over to stay with mum who's 92 next week!

It must be tricky to be responsible for parishioners who are difficult or impossible, to visit Keep well, sniff some mint ess. oil for a lift it's great!
