Jake's icon was not only rubbish, but as he was the only person there who had ever met his sister - how the hell could they know if the icon was truly representative or not?

Who chooses a family member as an icon, for heaven's sake?

I agree with your favourite icons, too - they were stunning! The time and patience spent on the Mulan one!

Jake's was utter rubbish, one of the girls even gave him the tips on the gold tears, I don't think he had really planned it (just like the first week). He cannot last surely.

There was some AMAZING work this week though.

I can't believe there was so much debate over who should go. I suppose they had to make a dispute as they've always based it solely on the face off before.

He truly was dire, he never had a plan or was decisive and really didn't deserve to be there. Sorry, but the others were way more talented.

Sorry to see Kesiah go although I think she would've been there instead of Bernie and Eve got off lightly as her flowers were a mess!

I like Orphelia (is that her name, the girl from Hong Kong) and James best. Brandon's skull was pretty good too though!

Jake was dire! He ought not to have been on the programme at all - I think they wanted a character and he had his talons (that they made him get rid of).

I think when Keziah bowed out, he probably thought "OOOH! GOOD I'M THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND!!!!" I'll bet he was gutted when he face--off went a head.

Yes - I like Ophelia very much. I think she'll win as she is consistently good. Like the girl with the blue hair, too - she's another one to watch, and James is just lovely, but tends to be a bit inconsistent. I think it'll be Bernie or Eve next week. Eve has a tendency to over-decorate, and Bernie is very inconsistent - nerves, i think.

It was excruciating watching Jake work, his work was nowhere near the level of the other contestants.

Girl with blue hair - Hannah I think is talented but i dint think very technical. Her scar was not good and I think they'll want to see something that isn't dark at some point!

I really feel for the girl who went out the first week as Jacob made no effort to take the chance he was given.
Glad they finally let him go.

I felt for her, too jay - especially as I think she fulfilled the brief better than he did.

It was for an ombre lip - Jake did a neater lip, but didn't even attempt ombre.

My daughter showed me some pictures of what Jake used to look like before all the lip and cheek work (she found his Instagram page).
He was unrecognisable. Blonde floppy hair, smily, normal teenager. Some of him also with make up, looking really good.

@secretfreckle that is sad, I hate to think of anyone hating themselves that much to want such a big change.

Nevertheless I didn't feel sorry for him on a make up front, he played it safe and played it badly. He never seemed to have a plan, the gold tears on his sister were on advice from another MUA. He couldn't execute his plan this week,
Whether right or not he should have made a decision and got over the eyebrows.

THANK GOD! I thought we were never going to get rid of him, he was awful.
I like Stacey Dooley but where on earth does she buy her clothes? She's always looks terrible, she needs to size down
Also her face was a different colour to her neck this week, Jake must have done her make up.
Love Ophelia and Hannah.

I could have seen it wrong but it looked like Ophelia went to give Bernie a fist pump but he grabbed her fist kind of like he was shaking it, awkward!
Really liking James’ work.

I love Glow Up and really want to have a go at some of the amazing make up (mainly just the eye colours). It looks like they paint it on but most of the stuff I’ve found is powder. Anyone had a go at doing it?

Did you see Eve's face? She really thought she was going be the one to leave this week - when she didn't have theFace Off she couldn't believe it.

TBH, I think she's half-wanting to go now. She seemed to be very "Oh - if it works it works, if not, I've had a good run". She's not the same style or calibre as the others, an she's aware of it - I think she finds the time constraints difficult.

She's lovely, though, and I think she's done really well against some very stiff opposition. (I liked the disco ball head, too)

I really like Eve too and her pink lob is lovely! She did look so shocked to not be in the face off but I was pleased for her. I think Hanna is so focused as she clearly hates her day job and knows this is her way out - great to see so much determination.

I think that being relaxed and fatalistic about it will help Eve.

If she doesn't let herself get stressed she will enjoy it much more AND she won't panic about what she does. Her main problem has been "over-decorating".

That picture of Jake is so sad, he was beautiful. A perfect example of why more regulation is needed in the cosmetic/beauty industry for fillers etc.
