seriously. i'm watching it now for work and it is terribly upsetting. Claire Verity says 'i'm a bitch, i'm mean to them but it works', no touching, no eye contact, lots of talking about 'baby', presumably because she can't be arsed remembering the name... oh it's AWFUL.

haven't read the thread of watched the programme - saw the highlights thou on the ads - and OMG what teh hell happened to trusting your instincts? i'm sorry but all this strict structure etc is crap - go with the baby, jsut cos we know it's 3pm and 2 hours till the next feed the poor baby doesn't know that - jsut cos he doesn't know he's got 15 mins to wait till his next cuddles ooh .

I remember getting a flyer for this when in pre natal classes - they were offering the help of an expert whenever you wanted it

The awful thing is that they are going to measure "success" as sleeping through the night, aren't they, not as producing happy secure children

my baby is perfectly happy and content and was sleeping through the night at three months, and she gets hugs and cuddles and played with and fed on demand.

I think all babies are different and what works for one won't necessarily work for another.

the problem is that people will see the parents having a party and think that the routine cv shows is good as they get their life back...

why not take them for plenty of walks - you dont need to have the f window open all night even in winter!!! my 3 week old is asleep upstairs in his moses basket in my room as we speak and has been sleeping fine there - I am going to complain to channel 4 - why are her unproven, unscientific, dangerous methods getting airtime?
