If he was more non-comitle to the wrong answer, it would be less obvious

The guy playing Chris Tarrant is good. Sounds/acts like him so you get past the visual

What I don’t get is how they allowed 3 members of the same family on the show without doing any due diligence!

Only just started to watch the first part, seems ok but they got Charles Ingram’s wrong. He was in the Royal Engineers, the uniform he’s wearing is a totally different regiment. Just being picky there , being ex army!

I didn’t realise his wife went on the show before him, and his brother in law. It seems they were some kind of ‘quiz cult’.

Ingram appeared on it just before 9/11 but the show was never aired. They suspected the cheating very shortly afterwards.
I’m sure Google was still relatively fast even in 2001, but smart phones didn’t exist then.

In the late 90 or early 2000s, 64 grand could buy you a house! Even 32 grand would have got you a decent deposit of almost 50%.

This is really annoying me as they are not actually showing us how they did it, not showing the coughing etc. Why can't they just stick to the facts? Its a good enough story on its own, why make it so ambiguous?

Michael Sheen is playing a good Chris Tarrant. He’s good at impersonating certain people.
Haven’t got this far but how did the bloke doing the coughing, know the answers to the questions?

Didn’t it start in 1998? I remember it well, I remember Chris Tarrant in the adverts for it before it aired. It was big at the time, everyone watched it..However as some people on here have already stated, Michael Sheen is a bit too smiley, Tarrant wasn’t like that, he was more serious looking and dry witted..
Some of the questions from the highlights seem familiar, I’m sure the Cornwall question was a genuine one. The poor girls dad didn’t know the answer either!

I enjoyed it. The things that people under about 40 won’t realise, or have experience of are 1 - that home internet was not that widespread, fast or reliable at the time and 2- how HUGE WWTBAM was at the time.

I'm only 21 and I remember when home internet access wasn't a huge thing. It picked up more when I was about 7 or 8.

I was born in 1998 and think I was a newborn at the time WWTBAM was really big I remember it being really popular when I was about 6, so around 2005...

The odd thing is that the guy who was coughing didn't do well himself. I thought he was in the audience, not in the fastest finger.

I couldn't believe that the studio manager didn't get that brother kicked off the site when she saw him lurking outside.

I'm enjoying this though. It's fast moving and the acting is also good. It seems more lighthearted than I thought it would be as well. Looking forward to tomorrow.

There are no black and white facts. They were found guilty, but they maintained their innocence. Celadon say they must have cheated.

Ironic that they chose to show that one tonight, whilst ‘Quiz’is being aired ! Or coincide..!

I'm under 30 and I remember how crap the internet was and how much of a big deal WWTBAM was. It was prime time Saturday night, you had to live under a rock to no realise

Contagion was on a few weeks ago too. Talk about sending the nation into the Twilight Zone.

I don't understand what the brother was doing outside on the phone. I dont understand how he is involved with the cheating on the night?

If it was all planned then Charles is pretty dim. If someone phoned me about irregularities on a show I'd been recording I'd assume they meant they needed to re-shoot something for continuity or something, and actually ask what they meant- not just say I refute that! Let alone the way he was explaining what he thought the answer was then just going for something completely different?!

And as for Diana writing a book? Wtf?? Surely you'd know that's not appropriate?
