So, I'm very late this (8 years it seems) but as all episodes are on iplayer, we've started series 1 tonight.

Everyone raves about it and says how fantastic it is and yes, episode 1 was ok but I think I was expecting more?

Does it ramp up so you're desperate to watch the whole series at once? Then is each new series better than the last? Or is it a programme that has been vastly overrated?

I know we've only seen an hour so far but with some programmes (Capture, Night Manager, Luther) I was gripped after half an hour...

MrsJayy I think it was that episode ( No spoilers in case anyone isn't this far along) where Dot Cottan does those little smiley smirks and seems quite sweet ...... though going back earlier episodes Kate and Steve mutter "Arsehole" and "Wanker" under their breath at him

Poor Lindsay Denton has quite a rough ordeal in Series 2 but I love how cool she is in interview

Oh gosh I’m even later! Missed Line Of Duty when it was originally on and I’ve just binged watched series 1-4 during a week off!

Series 2 and 4 were the best. Lindsay Denton is brilliant. Great acting from Keeley Hawes.

Yes just watching series 5 with Stephen Graham. Enjoying it so far!

We aren’t supposed to like Steve are we? I read they put him in a waistcoat to make him more annoying. Not sure why we would find waistcoats annoying but it works

I found series 1 ok but not brilliant, just your averagely good BBC1 police drama. But series 2 onwards are really good, edge of your seat stuff. Gets slightly ludicrous by the series 5 finale (by which time in Line-of-duty-land about 3 out of every 4 cops are bent) but still really gripping. Definitely worth a binge-watch!

Not sure why Steve has to have a southern accent, Martin C is Scottish.
Does AC -12 exist, or is it called another name? I’m assuming anti corruption units do exist, purely to catch corruption within the Police?...

I binged and have finished the whole lot. As another poster said, maybe the best tv in 20 years!

I binge watched Series 1-5 during January as I knew a Series 6 was coming.

Read yesterday it is coming soon and apparently that means end of March!

I've been rewatching on Iplayer and now up to S5.
What has struck me is that Kate can be quite annoying. In S4 when Steve and Kate bump into Steve's ex and Kate has a go at her for not standing by Steve when things were difficult for him. That would be the time when ex found out that Steve had slept (supposedly) with Lyndsey Denton would it beKate and ex dumped him for that reason?
And in S5, Steve has mentioned how tough it must be for the UCO who has gone awol and Kate keeps saying, "yeah right, tell me about it, I've been there." When the missing UCO is in deep with a ruthless, murderous gang; and Kate's undercover role was to attempt to be best mates with Lynsey Denton and Roz Huntley (and failed miserably on both occasions).

I can't wait for the next series! I started watching it a few years ago and became addicted. So many twists and mouth dropping moments!
Considering Martin Compston comes from not that far from me, I think he does a very good English accent, just my opinion!
