@hannabarbera that isn't usually my cup of tea but the joy in Christian and Ella's faces was just wonderful.

@Piggywaspushed Ds2 has been using lockdown to teach people sign language online!
I'm on furlough from school but am doing the shop and helping a gentleman with his dinner every night... I'm also getting newspapers for four self isolators and shopping daily for a gentleman with no family...

Love the fact that my DH groaned when I said BGT was starting, and he’s been more engaged than the rest of us :o

I think its hard to explain if you haven't had first hand experience of disability and the way being othered takes over your life but essentially I loathe the "brave/inspiration" thing.

I'm just a person.

Yes I can imagine the tags of brave, inspirational etc would make you feel different and singled out Eine. And yes now you mention it the song choice could be seen as deliberately emotive

Social model is basically

Person A has Condition X

But it is the social/societal response to Condition X that creates Disability not the Condition Itself
