When I was four my sister jumped into the deep end of a swimming pool while holding me and then let me go... I sunk...
When I was a child we lived on a farm with a moat round the edge of the farmhouse... One afternoon I was riding my tricycle round the edge of the banked side of the moat... Somehow or other I wobbled backwards off my tricycle into the moat.... Miraculously our gardener who's flat looked over the garden happened to see me hit the water and came racing down the back stairs of the house screaming at my parents... He fished me out of the moat on the end of a rake...
Fast forward twenty odd years and we all met up when my son was a baby.... George the gardener said to my Mum "Mrs H do you remember when C (me) went backwards on her tricycle into the moat?" My mum visibly shuddered and said that she did... He then said "And don't you wish sometimes we'd left her in there!!??" 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
