I watched one of the series 1 episodes yesterday, Robert was rearranging their furniture at the end The woman's face was a picture!

I’d love a Robert design in my house!

I hadn't seen the modern house one that was on this week - fascinating because the inlaws house has almost exactly the same layout, similar age and probably built by the same developer. The hall is indeed TINY, just a square with the stairs facing you. Their house has had the garage converted into another room and a conservatory added on the back but it's very impractical.

Robert is hugely creative and comes up with some very wacky ideas but last night's comments hit the nail on the head, he doesn't listen to what the clients actually want. His designs are all the same - wood burner, split level, floor level lighting, bench seating preferably brown, plywood. They all look like youth hostels or glorified caravans.

Laura has her own signature moves too like doors sliding into walls and huge skylights but clients like them!

Would love to see inside Robert's own house.

Just seen that they are doing a spin off called Your Garden Made Perfect. They are looking for participants. I would love to take part but I rent.

OK I have a really dumb question. They need to wear the VR headsets to see the VR design. You see them putting them on before Robert or Laura present the design and taking them off at the end. But they aren't wearing the headset during the presentation. What?! How does that work? Do they have the VR presentation with headsets on and then refilm it without headsets (and presumably without actually seeing the presentation)? I don't get it!!

I think there is a fair bit of "TV magic" going on.

I agree, I am just trying to work out how they get the homeowners to play along. You must feel a bit of an idiot pretending to be in virtual reality when you are actually following a tennis ball on a stick (probably)!

Robert is such a one trick pony! That bloody wrap around bench - it looks like a working men's club.

if it gets a 3rd series i'd love them to introduce new architects. It's almost a little too predictable that it's going to be Laura every time.

This podcast was super interesting, some of my favourite interior designers, Sophie Robinson (the one who loved bright colours on the interior design challenge) and Kate Watson-Smyth have a podcast and interviewed Laura Clark on it, and she explains about the filming of the VR bits. Apparently it's all filmed on a green screen and the participants and designers have to pretend that they've just seen the design for the first time, again! They're pretty good at acting for regular people!

I figured that’s what happened.
I guess they’ve already done it for real so they know what they would say or how they would react.

So, is the episode on this Tuesday at 8pm on BBC2 a restart of series 2, or a series 1 repeat? My guide just says "7/8".

Radio Times says it's series 2, episode 6/7.
