Tho easy to accept a persons sexuality if has no bearing on you

Exactly - I think it was meant to be ironic like that - Faith perfectly able to be very calm and accepting when it's someone else's life but when she finds out about Lev it is going to absolutely devastate her. Something like that must make you question absolutely everything you thought you knew about your own life.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 11/08/2020 13:21

I think the worst thing regardless of he fact that Lev had sex with a man, is that he turned away & went to someone else when he should be united with & supporting Faith during their son's illness.

Doesn't matter if it was sex with a man or a women. It's the betrayal.

@NewModelArmyMayhem18

Does anyone think that Fenisha is gradually falling in love with Ethan? The question is whether the big reveal about his MND 'time bomb' will come sooner rather than later. I suspect it will come too late for her to have a termination.
It's Huntingdon's he's got, not MND. I remember when the story started, I was dealing with a woman with Huntingdon's, that's why it stuck in my mind. (I'm a MH nurse.)

Both horrendous diagnoses, anyway.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/08/2020 13:35

Oh @Spidey66 thanks for correcting me.

madameMscastle · 14/08/2020 18:37

@NewModelArmyMayhem18

I didn't notice Dylan seeing Lev kiss the other guy either must pay attention

I thought Connie and Noel may end up an item too, just because it's the most unlikely pairing ever. I think 'Will' could be her type, so that's not going to happen. Did Tom Chambers' character have an affair with Jac at some point too (hence the bad blood between her and Connie), or have I got him muddled up with Joseph (who made a suprise appearance with Patsy Kensit not so many moons ago, in Holby City)?

hi, Happening at the moment on drama channel, Classic Holby City, Grace has not long been born. Jac was with Joseph then she went with his father. Who left his wife then died.

I think Connie and Jac have always disliked each other i dont recall anything happening.

Just watched last week's. The actor who plays David did a great job as did the actor portraying the young man.

I'd forgotten about Honey - Etan had a thing for her didnt he?

Also, didn't Ethan get an official diagnosis for Huntingtons? Thought he had - I recall thinking at the time that Cal might be lying and it was actually him and not Ethan with the gene. But I had thought Ethan then consulted a professional.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 15/08/2020 09:00

I'm sure Cal and Ethan both opened their test results at the same time when they were with their mother, and they both said they were in the clear. But Ethan admitted to Cal that he was lying to save his mother's feelings. Beyond that, I don't think there's ever been mention of him seeing a specialist or confirming his diagnosis, but surely he must have done? You wouldn't just get terrible news like that and then do nothing more about it.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 15/08/2020 10:00

Maybe the Casualty scriptwriters are hoping we've all forgotten Ethan's Huntingdon's diagnosis - it is quite a few years ago that it happened (three or four?).

purpleme12 · 15/08/2020 10:02

I don't think so Ethan brings it up himself every so often

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 15/08/2020 10:04

I clearly never pay as much attention to Casualty as I should be doing!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 15/08/2020 10:05

I would have thought these days that they would be able to test a baby in utero for it? Anyone? I guess that's supposing that Ethan does declare his diagnosis to Fenisha before she has the baby.

CherryValanc · 15/08/2020 10:23

Gone to the same place as his glasses?

Pobblebonk · 16/08/2020 16:47

Did anyone else feel last night's episode was a bit disjointed? Normally they'd have made a whole production out of the tunnel collapse, but we seem to have jumped from the collapse to emergency services standing around idly chatting with no sort of connection. Likewise we jumped from Faith telling the girl that she didn't have to get undressed and not knowing where the mystery infection originated to patient being in a hospital gown and Faith knowing all about the wound on her leg and her self-harming.

It might just have been the writing, but I'm wondering whether we've reached the point where they hadn't completely finished filming each episode before lockdown and they've just edited together whatever they had.

CherryValanc · 16/08/2020 17:38

Yes, to the one about the tunnel collapse. Didnt even get them going to call or any scence where paracendic6get the call.

But the girl showed the cuts on her legs to Faith after she refused to change. So when she was in the gown Faith and Dylan knew.

But yes, overall there were big jumps made between scenes.

CopperBeeches · 16/08/2020 20:01

Agree about the disjointedness of the episode last night. Just watched it on iPlayer and had to go back and check that I hadn't missed anything. I was expecting a disaster in the tunnel - I mean it wouldn't be Casualty otherwise - but there was like some dust then nothing until the paramedics arrived. No ominous crumblings, no suspense, nobody trapped under rocks. And hardly any fuss. And they all got out without lots of shouting and screaming and bleeding.

Cockadoodledooo · 16/08/2020 22:26

Did anyone else think Faith was a complete bitch to Dylan? The bit when she told him his stupid crush has got to stop?! I was Shock - surely it's at least reciprocal, what with her doe eyed looks at him and calling him rather than her husband last week?!

purpleme12 · 16/08/2020 22:46

I just think it was always going to have that reaction from Faith when it came out like this

We've just got to wait for her to really find out now... Which may take a while...

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 16/08/2020 22:48

Well, she's going to feel a right eejit when the truth comes out and she realises Dylan was right. It was a bit much for her to think that Dylan's so in love with her that he'd make up that story to try to break her and Lev up though - she thinks a lot of herself, doesn't she?!

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 17/08/2020 08:35

Yeah, there was something really unpleasant about how Faith handled that. She's been complaining about Lev's disengagement for weeks, surely it might have occurred to her that he had something going on that she didn't know about? I would have thought she would at least have entertained the possibility of an affair, albeit not with a man.

It was a bit of a weird episode overall. Would I be right in thinking that, at four months, Fenisha is now past the point where she could have a termination?

Pobblebonk · 17/08/2020 10:12

No, the cut-off point is 24 weeks. But on the face of it it seems unlikely that she would have a termination now after having decided against at a much earlier stage.

CherryValanc · 17/08/2020 10:56

I think if someone told you your husband was actually gay and having an affair most people would be just a tad defensive! Especially if said by someone you know fancies/likes you and who knows you'd just got over and awkward phase with your husband.

Though it's possible she might have always suspected and has been in denial and Dylan voicing it made react by shutting it all down

purpleme12 · 17/08/2020 11:03

I agree
NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 17/08/2020 13:59

I think I would have had exactly the same response as Faith did, although I would have thought she would know Dylan well enough to know that he wouldn't lie about something as serious as Lev's unfaithfulness.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 17/08/2020 19:02

although I would have thought she would know Dylan well enough to know that he wouldn't lie about something as serious as Lev's unfaithfulness.

That’s the point, isn’t it? God, who wouldn’t be devastated by that news? But to dismiss Dylan as a liar when she should know that is integrity is one of the things that defines him...
