Is anyone else really excited about this?! Once baby is in bed, I'm binge-watching!

Ahhhh, we are binge-watching tonight and I'm so excited!

Des - you cant binge, its just Episode 1 with a new one each week (think there are 10 in total).

UGH, WHAT? I guess I'll be waiting till the end of the run then, I hate weekly things!

As if to save me, Sabrina season 3 is on Netflix today so at least I can binge-watch something tonight Will have to avoid Picard spoilers!

Episode was great but unless he says “make it so” and separates the saucer section I’m going to be disappointed. 🤣

DH and I have never binged watched a tv series - honest! We don’t have Netflix but do have Prime but even watched Good Omens over weeks. So this time I was actually really excited to properly watch a series more than one episode at a time. Argh - I cant believe I have to wait until next Friday for the next episode

I quite like that it's one a week, it reminds me of when I was a kid and TNG first aired - we got excited when it was time for a new episode each week :)

Such a good start to the series. It's always worrying that these reboots will be lazy nostalgia fests but this series feels like something entirely new.

Is it just me, but cannot see Picard as a dog person! To me, he would have a cat or something unusual, possibly reptile. Definately not a dog.

Maybe it's because Patrick Stewart is a huge dog fan and does a lot of work with rescue dogs, especially pit bulls? It could have been something he particularly asked for, perhaps?

Yes I assumed it was Patrick Stewart's idea. Although I can imagine Picard more of a dog person than a cat one given he lives at a vineyard?

Watched it. Loved it. Picard is mine BTW I've loved him longer than any of you (31 years now...)

I've always thought Picard would have a more regal dog. The pitbull is Sir Pat interfering IMHO.

Really enjoyed the episode and the Enterprise D made my heart sing. If only...

I get so sad that I won't live to see the future as The GBOTG imagined it. I wanna live in a future where Starfleet exists.
