It's on early February, I'm not sure if that's USA or the UK as well, but I think we usually get it shortly after.
Can't wait for Carries crying face to be back on my screen 😣😟

Ok, when he visits her, with snacks, they are poisonous. And she dies a horrible death, with her chin a trembling.

I presume it was Carries ego and recklessness that she didn't seem to question why Beardy would want to help her? Maybe a touch of naivety because she was lead to believe there was a bond between them from her time in the Gulag.
She already suspected that he had set it up so she would bump into him, but then just believe that he would do everything she asked with no apparent payback for himself or Russia?

I think it's more the reverse. I don't think she's that gullible.

Cocolapew · 13/04/2020 10:40

What do you mean by the reverse Lweji?

I got the feeling Carrie knows very well what kind of game he's playing and is only going along to see where it goes.
Even the handcuffs could be to give her a plausible reason to keep hanging out with him.

Cocolapew · 13/04/2020 10:46

Ohhhhh, I see.
If I was her I would have had a quick shag with him though.

Handcuffs?

JTbradflad1 · 13/04/2020 10:47

Its still good but finding this last season disappointing to be honest. Season 5 set in Berlin was the peak for me.

Lweji · 13/04/2020 10:48

Handcuffs?

The threat of at the chopper.

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 13/04/2020 10:54

Oh the cable ties. But Carrie didn’t arrange that or know it was happening. She understandably had no desire to be taken into custody by her own people.

Lweji · 13/04/2020 10:56

She could have asked Saul to get one of the men to show them off and set the scene.

All I know is that she and Saul are not that straight.

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 13/04/2020 11:17

But she didn’t do that. Confused Saul was as surprised by the restraints as she was. He was still angry about it last night.

coffeeandmuffin · 13/04/2020 12:07

I've just binge watched the first 7 seasons on Netflix and wanted to watch season 8 on channel 4 but can only start from episode 4 on on demand. Any ideas how I can get the earlier episodes of S8?

Lweji · 13/04/2020 14:15

And yet, how else would she be able to go and get the flight recorder?

There's something not quite obvious in the story.

stumbledin · 13/04/2020 14:56

I dont think Jenna is stupid. I think she sort of has a professional crush on Carrie and would really, really like to work with her. But on the other hand she knows her career is being the good girl that does what the boys tell her. And Carrie sort of knows it, that's why she feels able to ring her.

The big russian was using Carrie but I think in drugging her and returning her to the hotel (with a little kiss) is to create some story about how she was duped by him, to give her the opportunity to be accepted back by the americans. (Maybe?)

But quite honestly with a Trump like President twisting and turning any well laid plans by the professionals on all sides could be totally pointless.

Maybe Putin will appear at the end triumphantly sharing the secrets of the flight box, and win the President as a new friend!

Sittinonthefloor · 13/04/2020 15:01

How did the second hand gun dealer know what they were looking for? Why did Carrie hide the rucksack from tall Russian guy? Does this suggest she doesn’t really trust him? Are Saul and Carrie doing some off-grid deep cover shit?! Why does Carrie trust tall Russian guy? Why has her family not been mentioned this series? What about the president jacket swap? Is the president deffo dead? So many questions!!

whiteroom · 13/04/2020 15:04

Wasn't the american VP involved in some shady dealings early on though - some sort of manoeuvring to eventually become President or am I mis-remebering that?

Quarantino · 13/04/2020 15:08

I watched Outbreak after Homeland and there's a baby Max driving a helicopter in it!

SaulBerenson · 13/04/2020 15:32

There’s quite a lot to fit into one episode now.

Cocolapew · 13/04/2020 15:47

Is there only one left!?

OP posts:
Quarantino · 13/04/2020 15:55

What was the thing with the jacket swap? I saw that Max kept looking at it but didn't get what it was saying.
Also with the black box, presumably the crash was an accident?

whiteroom · 13/04/2020 16:17

Uk has 3 episodes left (12 episode series).

StSaulOfSnacks · 13/04/2020 16:23

I thought there were 12 episodes.

SaulBerenson · 13/04/2020 16:26

My bad! I thought I read here there was only 10 episodes.

Sittinonthefloor · 13/04/2020 17:15

Quarantino- The pres lent someone his anorak just before they got on the helicopter.
