Merry Christmas Corrie Fans...
And those who watch through habit.

Rita's in the floor, Derek's in a bind, Gemma's had babies and is going out her mind.
Nick is grimacing nicely, and Sarah's forgot the plot.
And we're all just gathering around and hoping Dev gets shot.

She seems a strong young woman compared to the more drippy Summer, dev girl, Emma etc. Speaks her mind. Battleaxe in the making. I hope she is given the opportunity to live and learn, and not end up like Ken. I think Jenny is similar, I suppose Geoff is undermining a strong woman and that's wrong on corrie.
My parents have been dead for many years, I hate losing characters they knew.

I loved it but then I'm a soppy sod. Except God knows what route they were taking - it's motorway all the way once you're out of Manchester. I'd say the M55 isn't very busy on a February work day!!

I wondered about the route too! Very strange. I liked the episode. I think Amy got the rings as she's a Barlow and they are the original Corrie family from the time of the Tanners. I think they know there will always be Barlows in the street whereas Gemma, for example, seems less of a permanent fixture.

Later this year (November I think) is the 60th anniversary of the show.
Apparently the longest running soap in the world. I would expect Ken to stay till then.

So is Ken leaving the soap or just leaving the street?
If they've built an old folks home set and intend to shoot Ken and Pensioner Spice having exciting stories about false teeth, lost slippers and carers nicking their boiled sweets, well I'll be turning off tbh.

The episode was boring and made me cringe, especially Mary's 'dancing' in the front passenger seat.
That woman's an enigma. She used to have a crush on Norris, and yet doesn't have a single wrinkle!

I used to really like Mary, her quirky sense of humour and th lines she got were usually pretty funny and entertaining. They seem to have turned her into little more than an extra and made her annoying more than funny now. It's like they don't kno what to do with her.

I think Mary is only in her forties, about the same age as Dev, which makes her crush on Norris all the stranger.

Jude buggered off on the tram, never to be seen again. He split with his wife because he lued about being a marine biologist ( I think).

Yeah, Jude and his 'complicated' story line just disappeared on a tram. He was becoming difficult to like and has been said his acting was wooden.

Anyway, since Emily's house got sold. There's a load of old storylines that would be difficult to replicate.

I also don't like the new factory. It's like Steve and Sarah Lou are sitting in the lobby.

Leeds is an hour from Manchester.
Drop kids at 9, see Shona from 10-2, pick kids up at 3, go home for the night...

Hardly working for 16 hours down pit swinging a pick axe is it?

Another totally unrealistic storyline. Daniel managed to get out of man’s office without being seen? How? Were there two doors?

Also Daniel is a smart man- he would know how risky it was to steal information from a laptop- he wouldn’t do that. Not even for Bethany.

He also wouldn’t be as blasé about it when telling his solictor nephew!

And of course you wouldn’t just ring up random women and ask them to tell you about their old boss. They would have no incentive to tell Bethany!
