They dragged the Phelan storyline for months longer than it should have been, bet they'll do the same with Geoff and Yasmin.what I want to know is if Yasmin has been cleaning to that degree why hasn't she found the hidden camera?

Geoff is giving me a drink problem - I'm imagining smashing a bottle of gin over his head. What a waste of booze. I think I need to ring the helpline for people affected by the storyline.

I hate how they’ve completely rewritten Yasmeen a character for this storyline. Sitting there “ooh- am I an alcoholic? Oh I think you’re right Geoff!” “Ooh, you have allergies, I’m so sorry.” “You want my debit cards? I hadn’t thought that necessary but here you go” like she hasn’t a brain cell in her head. That is not Yasmeen! Never was. They’ve altered her completely just for this storyline.

Why didn't Alya,stick around for a bit. She is still her family. I do t believe she wouldn't stay and chat to her grandmother.

Yes, the Yasmeen character change is rather ridiculous. Years ago when they did a coercive control storyline (far more realistic than this one) the woman, played by Sally Lindsay, was a more gentle and vulnerable character, and the story built up more gradually.

I think it's good that they chose Yasmeen for the role, Clawdy.
As it proves anyone no matter how strong their character came fall prey to abuse. It doesn't only happen to meek and nervous people.

I can see that, but it's happened too quickly, it needed a gradual build-up, with hints of the abuse to come.

Yrs, it's all been a bit rushed.

There has been a build up. Yasmeen was mugged six months ago and Geoff used that to make her feel even more vulnerable, and she lost her confidence and became more dependent on him. And it was going on before that too.

Also, might Tim not have some insight into this and know how Geoff was with his mum? I wonder if she was not a drinker at all but also a victim of coercive control.
