The scriptwriters also forgot that Roy found at least one long-lost sibling on his father’s side when Hayley was alive. There was no need for the ‘Sylvia’s secret child’ storyline.

In one scene last night sitting at the table, Evelyn 's hair looked looser and less styled, and she looked younger!

I saw Maureen Lipman just before Christmas, she was on her lunch break. She was so much more glamorous than Evelyn
Her hair and clothes were immaculate.

I love Evelyn. She reminds me of Blanche.

I wonder why nobody panicked when there was a knock at the door and they had Rubeh and Hawp in the house when they shouldn't. If it had been me, I'd have panicked and either not answered the door, or quickly got them whipped out the back door and away back to Kev's! But they were just sitting there totally calm.

Yes, I also thought that was daft. You’d have ushered the kids out the back just in case - or just not answered the door!

I could be wildly wrong but I'm certain Maureen was in Corrie before obviously as a different character. I think she worked in the Rovers

Yep, Lilly or Lillian or something like that. Worked in the rovers and I believe she and Fred west were in it around the same time.

Can someone tell me what the story is about Fizz and the gun? I know whatshisname (red hair) had a gun but can't remember how Fizz got hold of it and what happened to it afterwards.

@HollowTalk I was thinking the exact same!

Hollow I thing Fizz found an antique gun in a house clearance and bought it, thinking Gary's business would get a lot of money selling it on. She also was told by the original owner that the gun and been decommission and unable to fire. Gary panicked about having any gun on the premises and shoved it in a trunk. I don't know what happened after that.

Thanks @thenightsky - I thought it was that re the gun, but she seems to think she'll get arrested if she tells the truth.

I think Gary realised the gun wasn't decommissioned when he saw it and told Fizz to say nothing about it after the shooting, Jade was there at the time and Hope asked to play with it, so I think Jade must have told the police about the gun, if that makes sense

I think Tracey and lawyer lady would be far more convincing as a couple than her and Sophie ever were
