Sorry if there’s already a thread on this but I couldn’t find one.

Anyone else excited about this? I’m really looking forward to it, especially after seeing the trailer yesterday! There were no kids in the trailer though (unless I missed them) so not sure what’s happened to Neil the baby and Stacey’s bump! Apparently Uncle Bryn is hosting Christmas this year....

I thought we'd already found out what happened on the fishing trip but I must have dreamt it! Confused

OhCumInMyFaceful · 25/12/2019 22:30

I was thrilled. I never thought they'd revive G&S but Ruth Jones did another Stella so I knew there was potential.

SoleBizzz · 25/12/2019 22:37

It was brilliant 🤣🤣🤣

missmouse101 · 25/12/2019 22:52

The actor playing Neil was so good! He did amazingly!

The80sweregreat · 25/12/2019 23:00

Neil was good : it's a shame Dave coaches wasn't in it.
Des Lytham tattoo!! That was funny.

Campervan69 · 25/12/2019 23:02

Bloody kids ruin everything!

Agree with everyone really enjoyed it the only boring bits Gavin and Stacey as always

ConfCall · 25/12/2019 23:03

Someone said on Twitter that the Neil actor also portrayed him as a baby 11 years ago.

Loved the small details - the foil wrapping, Bryn’s T shirt, Nessa singing the man’s part in Fairytale.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 25/12/2019 23:03

Loved it Grin

DarwinianMinion · 25/12/2019 23:07

They cannot leave it like that!!

Wasn’t Sonia Keith Lemons girlfriend in one of his shows?

The80sweregreat · 25/12/2019 23:08

I bought everyone a tap!

DaveCoaches · 25/12/2019 23:09

Don’t know why I wasn’t there truth be told. Otherwise cracking.

The80sweregreat · 25/12/2019 23:14

That you Dave? What's occurring!?
The kitchen at Gwen's annoys me as it's lower than the other rooms!!

astonishedzebra · 25/12/2019 23:16

I mist be the only person who didn't enjoy. I felt like it was too forced and awkward.

The80sweregreat · 25/12/2019 23:19

I thought they looked like they were having a great time!

PatchworkElmer · 25/12/2019 23:20

Really loved it, was howling at the bit where Pam and Mick got stoned with Dawn and Pete. The towels bit was very funny, too.

I’m not happy with the ending- too much of a cliff hanger for me.

AreYouSiriusLupin · 25/12/2019 23:21

I loved it!!

Chosennonetosurvive · 25/12/2019 23:23

Just the right mixture of humour and tendet moments. Managing tob
squeeze everyone in must've been hard. Pam with her mixed up lines is my favourite 'I can see it in my minds aisle' Grin all the nods to previous series, the easiness and chemistry between them all. Perfect!

WeGoHigher · 25/12/2019 23:24

I thought it was funny. Bryn especially. 'A lie-LOW on the floor' Grin

AhhhHereItGoes · 25/12/2019 23:26

One of the few times a renewal held up to its expectations and wasn't a complete flop.

Loved it.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 25/12/2019 23:29

Didn’t feel right to me I’m afraid, and Smithy definitely was not Smithy of old, he was quite posh even when he wasn’t pretending to be posh when talking to Sonia.

BikeRunSki · 25/12/2019 23:30

The best motorway services chat was hysterical as I've actually had that conversation with people! It's the mundane that makes it so good.

I think everyone has had that conversation at some point. This topic of conversation always reminds of my grandfather.

SgtFredColon · 25/12/2019 23:35

Yeah I’m not sure about it. Smithy was a bit less Smithy but then he’s 10 years older and so will have grown up a bit? Also not sure convinced by Nessa and Smithy romance. I liked them being friends/coparenting ‘we’re a team’

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 25/12/2019 23:35

The kitchen at Gwen's annoys me as it's lower than the other rooms!!

What's wrong with that? ConfusedGrin

We were laughing at the services conversation because we stop at Leigh Delamere now as ds is at uni down SouthGrin

onedayallthiswillbeyours · 25/12/2019 23:36

Enjoyed it and had a few good laughs but there just seemed to be something slightly off with the chemistry. The "step into Christmas" bit that featured in the trailer I thought seemed particularly forced and cringey whereas the doorstep scenes from past series were classics.

BestIsWest · 25/12/2019 23:36

We’re at the end of the M4. We’ve had that service station conversation many times! (No, not Reading!)
