Don't you think it was a bit of a give away it was a double firing when Thomas walked straight out? Seems a shame they didn't get to say goodbye, especially as everyone seemed to genuinely like him. Had to go though such a " 'ello me darlin" buffoon!! Entertaining though, he was always so enthusiastic about his own ideas no matter how naff (Del Boy must have been his inspiration!)

Thomas's firing was long overdue. He only got this far because Suralan obviously lurves him - I'm surprising he didn't bring in some wailing violins when he fired him. He's a nice bloke and all that, but a one-trick-pony in business - he could never see any element of the task beyond its potential for profit margin.

I think Marianne was only fired because Suralan didn't like her business plan. I can see why - if the company is thriving in the US, why would she need his £250k to expand in the UK? If it isn't thriving over there, she needs to fix that before going international.

At leat we will see Thomas again in the last episode (hopefully) when previous candidates come back to help the finalists with their pitches for their business plans!

My guess is he will be the first one to be picked!!

Yes, I struggled a bit with what was actually going on this week, but I still own a cassette player.

Next week they've got to design and sell perfume. Pretty sure that task has been done before - didn't the losers scupper themselves by using mega-expensive ingredients or something.

I have a question! when the phone rings and they are all still in bed, how do they get ready so quickly?! Do we really think they go from sleeping to immaculate hair and make up in 20 mins? It takes me that long just to wake up properly and get out of bed

I want her at interview stage. If she gets there she'll be even more convinced of her brilliance and ability. The fall would be mighty.

Imagine if she got to the final - how insanely dictatorial she'd be!!! Plus I'm not sure who, out of the returnees, would want to be on her team!!

@Sherloidbaisherloid pretty sure I read (probably on here) they have loads of time. Don't they say 'the cars will be here in 20 minutes'. Which they probably are - but they don't actually leave for a good while!!! (Also the fact it's often much brighter by the time they leave than it was when the phone rang is a tad suspicious!)

I miss Dara too. Its gone downhill with each replacement and now its the Tom Allen show. Last week the candidate only got 50% of the air time. TA was on for pretty much the first 15 mins by himself!

I have realised it’s broad daylight when they leave 🤣 I always just assumed when they said the cars will be here in 20 mins that’s when they had to be ready! 100% agree. I stopped watching after the 4th show because I was bored with it. They need to get the candidate on at the beginning, like they used to.

Also, there used to be far more discussion of the other candidates, which has all but disappeared. The customised gift at the end - disappeared. Suralan saying why he fired them - disappeared. It's just a vehicle for Tom Allen now.

If I wanted to watch a full-of-himself comedian being witty for half an hour, I'd watch one of the zillions of comedy panel shows that are available. You're Fired is supposed to be a companion/discussion/piss-take of The Apprentice - it's totally lost its way.

I watched ‘You’re fired’ for the first time this week (because Thomas was on it). The segment I missed was ‘Who do you think is going/like to win?’. It was always interesting to see if the evicted candidates viewed the remaining candidates the same way as the viewers do.

I can’t watch you’re fired any more as that twat that presents it is only in it for himself. It takes a lot for me to delete something off my planner

He’s ruined the show. Ruined it I say.

Also miss the one that got away! The bit about if someone else really should have been fired!
