Just searched for a thread and can’t find one yet... anyone watching tonight?

Will they scream/cry/bitch/sleep/shower and dress up in silly clothes.

Or will they do it in a different order this year? Grin

Ian should have been top as he is clearly suffering the most, followed closely by Andrew who is not coping very well.

It's so frustrating when you are in Kate's position and there's a man bellowing over you, treating you like a delicate little flower just because you are a woman. They don't need James to protect them. I don't think it would have made a difference any of the other women speaking up, he wasn't going to listen to them regardless.

James wasn't going to listen but the other women speaking up might have swayed some of the quieter men and majority rules.

I think probably they didn't as they are all hungry and selfishness takes over and actually they want to eat so won't shake the boat! Which I get, it must be very hard to take yourself from likely to get a meal to not so likely. But the whole sentiment was wrong everyone should have said the name of who they wanted 1st and so on most votes win! All this the men think the women should go first and not complain has made me so cross with James in particular but pretty much all of them but Kate! Adele called roman prejudice for teasing her about her Jane photo but (that we saw) said nothing to James!

Ian, Andrew, Cliff have all been struggling 2 of them aren't eating! Even if they said JJ should be 1 as she has done 4 trials in a row, or any reason other than being female! I'm genuinely disappointed in all of them, bar Kate and I wanted her to go! Not anymore!

They won't get all 12 care packages tomorrow so it will be interesting to see if they get to pick who gets one and how they decide with the influence of people like James gone hopefully!

itswinetime · 24/11/2019 23:54

What did James do to lose everyone’s respect?! (I did put the kids to bed so maybe missed!)

It was the picking of the order he was the most vocal about women going first for no reason other than them being women. Kate tried to argue a different view point and he said something like

lets cut the sexist bullshit and agree all the men will feel better if the women go first

Or words to that affect and completely shut Kate's view that the bigger guys need the calories more and should go first down!

Everycloud12 · 25/11/2019 01:08

Andrew and James are both showing an unpleasant side to their character. I'd go as far as to say Andrew looks unwell.

Ian looks like he could blow up at any time.

JJ's fear seems put on to me. When she did went into the telegraph and was wondering why she kept being voted - very unconvincing. She barely hesitated in the tunnel trial.

I'm liking Myles, Kate and Andy so far.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2019 09:04

Agree jj fear seemsa bit false

A spider in the car and all squeal and get out

She then does 25 spiders in her glass bowl overhead

And hand in spiders

And then another spider one

I don’t like spiders. And prob couldn’t have done thrbowl over head

Looobyloo · 25/11/2019 09:07

Yet remember JJ is an actress she almost skipped Into that tunnel last night. I'm starting to feel a little sorry for Andrew I think he needs to leave.

Starksforthewin · 25/11/2019 09:55

Agree with so many PPs. Andrew is a nightmare, creating fuss at the smallest things and then doing the big “I’m sorry” scene. Is he trying to get air time? He’s not very funny or entertaining and has the least ‘celebrity’ of anyone there. I’ve never heard of him.

I do think Kate is virtue signalling a lot of the time. She strikes me as fake, along with JJ.

How has Adele got in there?

I like Caitlin, Nadine, Roman, Myles, Ian and James.

romylee · 25/11/2019 10:10

Roman is my favourite. Andrew is meant to be a comedian but hasn't made me laugh once instead I am cringing for him he is coming off unhinged.
I find Jaqueline quite irritating I can't tell if it's fake either.
There doesn't seem to be many laughs this year a lot of very stressed out camp mates given they have had a lot of food this year 😂

AppleKatie · 25/11/2019 11:59

I think JJ is acting about half the time but she’s so inconsistent because she can’t keep it up. 😂

Andrew I think there’s a huge amount of social awkwardness combined with a culture gap- British/Irish.

Living in a mixed British/Irish family I underestimate the gap ALL the time it’s much bigger than I anticipated.

InglouriousBasterd · 25/11/2019 12:03

I rewound the scene with Ian and Andrew as I couldn’t see what he was talking about and....Ian did nothing. He was talking to Roman and Andrew started muttering and then kicking off. Something isn’t right there.

Quartz2208 · 25/11/2019 12:10

Ant on extra camp said it happened earlier and Andrew had been stewing on it and then lost it at that point

JaneJeffer · 25/11/2019 12:17

They should have shown it on the main programme then because it made Andrew look unhinged editing it like that.

SpanishFly · 25/11/2019 12:47

Just catching up with the last few nights.
So, Ian does a trial and says no way are the outlaws getting the food, I dont even know 2 of them. But then JJ and Myles win food, decide to keep it, and Ian kicks off?? Total baby. Me me me me me.

And Ant and Dec just dont gel any more. I remember when everything kicked off last year and Dec didn't show any public support etc (quite rightly imo), and they are never seen out as friends ever now, so I think they're now literally a professional duo and that Ant has spoiled the friendship. Dec and wife go out with Holly etc now

soupforbrains · 25/11/2019 12:50

I actually Miss Holly from last year. I think what made her brilliant was that it was all so much more new to her, so her reactions and responses during trials were great and very real. Whereas A&D have seen it all before these days and there's not much that ruffles their feathers.

CallmeAngelina · 25/11/2019 13:43

I'm bored with this show now. Last year was a much-needed breath of fresh air, with Holly co-presenting, but the contestants this year are dull, I think.
But the trials don't seem to cause nearly as much angst as in the earlier series. There was much more weeping and wailing as people struggled to do the eating trials, for instance. Now, they just get on with it.
But it is unfair when some of the trials are not about manning up and getting on with something unpleasant, but instead about skill or luck. So, that one where Kate and Caitlyn had to drop balls from a height into a small bucket that was a moving target? Really hard! Ditto the crab one last night. That's just frustrating all-round.

Cherrypi · 25/11/2019 13:59

The Instagram videos of ant and dec are really awkward too. Definitely think relationships are strained.

Womenwotlunch · 25/11/2019 14:00

I actually preferred the show with Holly.
I am not feeling Ant this year

CakeNinja · 25/11/2019 14:06

I don’t think Ant’s feeling it either.

JediJim · 25/11/2019 14:37

I’m enjoying it so far. For ITV to be showing ‘Im a celeb’ every year for 3 weeks at prime time viewing time must mean it’s still popular. It hasn’t been demoted to ITV2.
James is very competitive, but he’s from a male dominated world. Playing rugby at a top level for England would make anyone like that.
Andrew is struggling emotionally and is falling apart in front of our very eyes.
Jacqueline Jossa acts scared before the trials but seemed fine in the tunnel with the snakes and spiders. As indeed the other trials. Maybe putting it on a bit??
I can’t believe Ian Wright is 56! Growing up he was one of the top premier league stars, it really doesn’t seem that long ago!
Time bloody flies.

ManonBlackbeak · 25/11/2019 14:51

I thought it was just me who'd noticed the awkwardness between Ant and Dec. I think Dec is still throughly pissed off with Ant, and rightfully so.

Skinnychip · 25/11/2019 14:53

But it is unfair when some of the trials are not about manning up and getting on with something unpleasant, but instead about skill or luck. So, that one where Kate and Caitlyn had to drop balls from a height into a small bucket that was a moving target? Really hard! Ditto the crab one last night. That's just frustrating all-round.

I thought the same. If an (albeit ex) Olympian who isn't particularly phased by insects/bugs etc cant make a good go of dropping a ball into a moving target, what hope is there for anyone else?
Also yesterdays trial that Romanand James did. They got stuck in, weren't saddling or panicking at all, there is no way it was possible for them to get all 3 stars. Maybe that is a tactic - to deliberately deprive a small number of contestants of the meal to create a) extra stress and anger due to hunger and b) friction and division as they will be singled out. Probably designed to stir it up if it seems boring. The game could have originally been set up for 5 min for example. Then if not enough tension in the camp, make it 3 min so some contestants will definitely miss out.

Skinnychip · 25/11/2019 14:54

Saddling = faffing
Cant believe my phone didnt recognise that as a word!!

soupforbrains · 25/11/2019 15:03

Broadly speaking I feel like the trials this year have been too easy and the campmates have been too well fed as it were, things are often boring when they get plenty of food. HOWEVER, the trials which have been difficult have been made so in stupid ways.

The trials always need to actually be possible I know ITV will say that they have tested them etc. etc. and in the past Joe Swash used to always have a go for us all to see on the extra camp show (not watching this year, don't know if someone else is doing it?) but you can't just cut the time in half or make the trial harder by effectively making it impossible.

They need to find the balance between tough/challenging and fixed/impossible.

Agree that James, Andrew and Ian have not had a good light on them the last 24 hours but I'm inclined to wait and see with people as editing can distort things so very much.

ajandjjmum · 25/11/2019 15:26

I loved watching Holly last year - including being shallow 'what's she wearing tonight'!

They do seem to have tweaked the format this year, and they're not repeating the same bits of footage again and again - I did get really sick of that.

The camp chores seem a lot less onerous too, unless they're just missing that bit out of the edit.

I like Kate and I loved that when JJ didn't immediately appear from the tunnel, Ian immediately leapt back in to get her. I think I'd be a lot more grouchy than any of them if I was in there! Grin
