So, after all those years of watching wannabes trying to become somebodies, Simon has decided the way to go is to basically take a bunch of celebs and see if they can sing.

I've a feeling we've seen something like this before.

Tonight's auditions are in Malibu, and the first bunch of celebs are

Journalist, Martin Bashir, Quiz show champion, Jenny Ryan (is she off the Chase? )and Model and Actress, Hayley Hasselhoff.

Glee Actor, Kevin McHale, The Islanders, made up of former Love Island contestants Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott, Wes Nelson and Eyal Booker; and Social Media Stars and CBBC Presenters Max and Harvey.

Another group act 'Try Star' - rugby stars Ben Foden, Thom Evans and Levi Davis - and Professional dancer, Brendan Cole and actor, Jeremy Edwards who form Cole and Edwards.

I am not sure I know who most of these people are. But I don't watch Love Island. Maybe it is stretching the 'Celebrity' label a bit

I'll still get sucked in to watching , probably.

Ayda was ok I thought and Robbie kept disappearing to other gigs so he wasn't there much.
Still, I'm sure they have moved on and have their own ocean view home to console themselves with!

Yy, Robbie didn't seem too fussed about his acts, did he? I felt a bit sorry for them. He just kept leaving them with other people. Although I'm always dubious about how much time the judges really spend 'mentoring' anyway.

Who will mentor the vixen? She looks like a northern lass with her own mind!
'Bash ' might go full on rocker mode and cause a scandal or two and the twins will have a song enter the download charts (or whatever it's called these days. )
Hoff's daughter will be 'big in Germany' like her dad and Bren and Jezza will get voted off early.

So long as they don't have some crazy idea to give the Vixen a makeover and bleach her hair blonde. And dress her in pleather.

The stylists are nuts, though.

I think Nicole would have great fun with Jenny- probably not have a clue what she was talking about, and then do a big booming loud duet in the final.

You know what, I read yesterday you lot talking about the new judging panel and thought huh? These guys were there last year. And then this morning I saw Robbie and Ayda mentioned and remembered that indeed, they were judges for 2 years. That's how memorable they were to me.

God, Nicole and Vixen doing a big mash up number as a duet. Bit of Queen, bit of Muse, bit of Whitney! It could be deafening and very entertaining. The twins would have Shawn mendes.

80s it would be immense.

Yep to a huge Nicole inspired choir from Hackney with the audience swaying along with lights aloft etc. Big budget.
The twins will win it all as they already have 8 million followers and are ' relevant'.

I remember Jez Edwards in celeb BB, he was an utter C—t. I’ve loathed him ever since.

Simon has gone vegan, he looks painfully thin and gaunt, not a good look at all.

Jane barely any believe it or not! I struggle drinking when I am home on my own. Which does make for very painful Saturday night TV watching.

It could be quite entertaining if they have different celebs next week. Not sure what the format is going to be.

Just remembered this had started and am watching now. Came to find this thread to see if anyone else had compared Jeremy Edwards to Dom Jolly?! He's not aged well. Martin is a bit "dad at a wedding" but certainly better than Jezza and his fella.

Finally got around to watching it, bloody hilarious, Martin Bashir can hold a tune, Brendan from SCD not so much, I didn't recognise Jeremy at first.

Thought Jenny was very good, I remember her singing for children in need I think it was and she was good then.

Will try and watch tonight after SCD

I wish it started earlier but I suppose they don't want to clash with Strictly.

Evening all- I usually started a new thread for each episode, but this title is generic enough , and I don't think we'll fill it , if last week was anything to go by .

(I've been plagued by migraines and kidney stones- I might not stay awake to the end) .
