X FACTOR returns! And this time it's a CELEBRITY edition ***8.35 Sat***

So, after all those years of watching wannabes trying to become somebodies, Simon has decided the way to go is to basically take a bunch of celebs and see if they can sing.

I've a feeling we've seen something like this before.

Tonight's auditions are in Malibu, and the first bunch of celebs are

Journalist, Martin Bashir, Quiz show champion, Jenny Ryan (is she off the Chase? )and Model and Actress, Hayley Hasselhoff.

Glee Actor, Kevin McHale, The Islanders, made up of former Love Island contestants Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott, Wes Nelson and Eyal Booker; and Social Media Stars and CBBC Presenters Max and Harvey.

Another group act 'Try Star' - rugby stars Ben Foden, Thom Evans and Levi Davis - and Professional dancer, Brendan Cole and actor, Jeremy Edwards who form Cole and Edwards.

I am not sure I know who most of these people are. But I don't watch Love Island. Maybe it is stretching the 'Celebrity' label a bit

I'll still get sucked in to watching , probably.

It was very deep. Had a hint of Alison Moyet, but not as good.

She's in tune, admittedly, which makes her a cut above most of the other acts. But I just don't like her voice.

I liked Max and Harvey but the others are not doing it for me. The actual format is fascinating though.

I thought jenny was excellent, and she is as good as Alison moyet. Jenny would have been incredibly nervous and can only get better. My oh who knows an awful lot about music, tone, etc from experience said she was brilliant.

I think Simon needs to eat something.
