If same Dad then half sister not step

dinomonkey · 04/10/2019 11:24

@Llareggub I think you're being overly critical. It's been a really good series.

Holiday Grainger is great. I wonder if those that are being critical of her are just jealous!

AvillageinProvence · 04/10/2019 11:25

And why the disbelief/rebuff from Rachel to [half] sister when latter said she was a good listner?

Yes I originally thought Rachel was rebuffing her, but on second view (I know!) I thought when Rachel said "seriously?" that was not to half sister saying she was a good listener, but Rachel had just spotted the photograph of father/Rachel's mother and was reacting to that.

humansympathique · 04/10/2019 12:32

Bore da llareggub
Obvs didnt work for you but think the tone was deliberate. Three public sector colleagues meeting to discuss a project and agree strategy. The implications may be sinister but this is what they do for a job

peridito · 04/10/2019 20:08

AVillage oh I see ! Yes that makes sense .

I'm enjoying the series ,I like the way it raises questions like "does the means justify the end " and the unexpected twists .

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 04/10/2019 21:23

I thought it was a great episode - loved seeing what had actually gone on (even if it was, hopefully, far-fetched!).

I think the pp who said the barrister isn't dead might be onto something and that's why her body was taken to the different coroners office (so some sort of drug that slows her heart rate and makes her appear dead!). Especially as the other 2 told Hell boy not to kill a British citizen on British soil and also because they didn't kill the video guy.

Looking forward to the final episode and hopefully the truth coming out!

peridito · 05/10/2019 08:14

Good point Invisible -has to be some significance to to different coroners .
Unless a plot device to get Rachel suspended for countermanding it .

AvillageinProvence · 05/10/2019 08:26

Rachel could have been suspended for the leaked cctv footage (although that wasn't really her, she was 'in charge') so yes I think the coroner change may still have a part to play - not just a plot device to get her suspended.

Not sure what that part will be though - were Frank/Gemma going to plant evidence with the original coroner to implicate Shaun? The body is still there of course, so s/he can still do that.

Italiangreyhound · 05/10/2019 08:29

Who leaked the footage? I thought it was the cops but now I wonder if it was Charlie or someone else?

IScreamForIceCreams · 05/10/2019 08:31

I'm hooked. But but but why oh why does Rachel always look teary-eyed?

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/10/2019 08:31

Wasn't it DS Latif who leaked it? Or was it DS Beardy?

AvillageinProvence · 05/10/2019 08:38

It was Latif and the bearded one who leaked the footage, without Rachel knowing - they were so outraged that Shaun was getting away with it.

This scuppered Frank/Gemma's plan to hush it all up, so Frank had to change the plan and 'make it real'. Hence he and his men killed Hannah (subject to caveats below) and put the body in Matt's car boot, so that Shaun could be framed. Hannah and Charlie of course also wanted Shaun to be framed (and their plan that he would get off eventually was always somewhat risky), but Charlie thinks that's fine because, after all, he would have willingly volunteered to be the fall guy (except that he didn't)!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/10/2019 14:34

LAst one tonight

Will it all get explained and shaun gets his life back

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 08/10/2019 16:38

The most important thing that we MUST find out this evening...
Where did Rachel get that gorgeous bottle green coat /shirt /pants outfit from?

humansympathique · 08/10/2019 17:17

Green outfit obvs been photoshopped on

Italiangreyhound · 08/10/2019 18:36

It's all brilliant, except the bolt cutters bit. Just too bloody Line of sodding Duty for me!

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/10/2019 21:21

What has Famke Janssen done to her face? She looks almost unearthly!

Osquito · 08/10/2019 22:05

I found Famke’s face very distracting... but thought that was a satisfying finale. I like a bit of an unhappy ending Grin.

purpleme12 · 08/10/2019 22:09

I don't know what to think...

I didn't get the part about Frank towards the end. Can someone explain about that

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 08/10/2019 22:09

What has Famke Janssen done to her face?
It wasn't Famke Janssen.
It was Morgan Freeman with a bit of Correction

TarrantsTinyToe · 08/10/2019 22:14

I still have questions!

  1. who was the bloke that Shaun beat up? And why did they not take him to hospital?

  2. who deleted the '1 o clock' file?

I liked how he went to prison, he deserved it ... I think he was pleased too and felt it was true justice.

fedup21 · 08/10/2019 22:15

I thought the end was rather depressing!

fedup21 · 08/10/2019 22:16

1) who was the bloke that Shaun beat up? And why did they not take him to hospital?

That was Charlie-his lawyer.

Quaffy · 08/10/2019 22:16

I didn't get the part about Frank towards the end. Can someone explain about that

I didn’t either. I thought maybe it was that Eli was actually working for her, and using the others to expose it as a conspiracy theory so it sounded ridiculous, as Famke J was suggesting?

definitelyshouldknowbetter · 08/10/2019 22:19

The bloke Shaun beat up was the solicitor who was setting Shaun up with Hannah to expose correction, that’s why they didn’t take him to hospital as he was working against the authority’s to expose what they’d been doing
