I'm so confused!!!!!!!!!

peppinanna · 01/10/2019 21:39

Is so confusing!!!

JellyfishAndShells · 01/10/2019 21:46

Wut

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/10/2019 21:47

Little confused lol

Who was the black man in prison - one of the sycamore lot? Fasmili?

So they set him up so they could prove they cctv could be 'corrected '

Eli was double crossing ?

So Hannah deserved to die due to her trying to fit him up to save her client who was set up?

Think that's it

Hihellohi · 01/10/2019 21:48

So confused
Too many people double crossing each other
Feeling sorry for Shaun Emery.

purpleme12 · 01/10/2019 22:03

I'm wondering where they went to at the end

purpleme12 · 01/10/2019 22:04

And quite worried about them asking what school his daughter goes to... Wondering how far they'll go..

winterisstillcoming · 01/10/2019 22:04

I am feeling really dumb after watching tonight's episode. Maybe it makes sense to those who made it.

StereophonicallyChallenged · 01/10/2019 22:05

I loved this episode.
All the double crossing seems like it could be real iykwim. (If I suspend my belief on all the amazing quality cameras everywhere Wink)

Think next week will be a good finale Smile

longwayoff · 01/10/2019 22:06

Oh, this is annoying me now. It's slipped into ridiculous. It can only end badly.

StereophonicallyChallenged · 01/10/2019 22:07

purple into Rachel Careys dad and step mums house where she'd gone for safety earlier 😊

definitelyshouldknowbetter · 01/10/2019 22:12

They’ll abduct his daughter to draw Shaun out.
So basically Hannah, Eli et al were working together to prove that the security agencies “correct” footage to fit their own narratives.

The security services see it as just proving the suspect did what they know they did.

It’s a very thought provoking programme really, I’m still thoroughly enjoying it, last week was a bit slower but loved it again this week!!

Doingtheboxerbeat · 01/10/2019 23:48

I just cannot get passed how much Rachel annoys me tbh.. Even when she was crying I thought 'oh do one you bossy wench' Blush.

Italiangreyhound · 01/10/2019 23:59

Great episode. Making compete sense now. BUT what an utter bastard that American is.

Italiangreyhound · 02/10/2019 00:01

All the flashbacks are quite annoying.

I recon the handsome silver fox will come to Rachel's rescue. (Hopeful!)

What's the story with the sister in the photos?

Italiangreyhound · 02/10/2019 01:01

Oh I think the picture was of Rachel's mum. It's her half sister and the dad and step mum must have married while her mum was alive.

But something about the picture made her think, I wonder what it was?

Maybe it's not all making sense yet!

Italiangreyhound · 02/10/2019 03:41

I'm just wondering why Shaun asked Charlie if he thought he was innocent?

I wonder if he had had an answer from Charlie if he would have gone along with their plan?

humansympathique · 02/10/2019 09:16

Enjoyed it but drifted towards silliness for me .. nowhere near as silly as my theories turned out to be Blush The'group' just seem too ludicrous, sanctimonious and reckless to root for. They have repeatedly put shauns life in danger - ok they got him out of jail but only to use him. Just take their expose to the press ffs! Now theyve got hannah killed (worth dying for apparently). As frank pointed out in his inimitable way, whatever the miscarriage of justice, the bro in prison and others are guilty just not admissable evidence. Means justifies the ends for state and vigalantees i guess. Cmon team rach & baldy beard!

The80sweregreat · 02/10/2019 09:41

It was like a Charlie brooker ' black mirror' episode in parts!
I am confused and the hell boy man is horrible.

AvillageinProvence · 02/10/2019 09:43

So shocked by Hannah and Charlie being prepared to use Shaun (their client!) in that way - real "ends justifies the means" stuff (paradoxically the same as the state!). I would have said they should both not be allowed to practise as solicitors any more, but obviously that is no longer an issue for Hannah. (PS I do know it's only a story).

I thought the 'find out where his dd goes to school' was going to be a step too far for DSup, (because of toy in her car) so it was quite a disappointment when she nodded.

I recon the handsome silver fox will come to Rachel's rescue. (Hopeful!)

I think it might be her current boss instead - the unexpected old-school previously antagonistic traditionalist as unlikely rescuer.

SoupDragon · 02/10/2019 09:58

I understand it! Hurrah! 😂

The black guy in prison is one of the men convicted by the Sycamore footage. Hannah & co know this was fake footage so want to get someone convicted using fake footage for something that never happened. Shaun is their scapegoat - he would be convicted of abducting Hannah on the basis of their fake footage and they can then prove it was fake, quashing the conviction and making the Sycamore ones unsound.

I'm surprised they left the bus footage of Hannah available and didn't get hold of it and remove it. Shoddy.

Unfortunately Eli slipped up with his cover somehow (not sure exactly how) and the Americans found Hannah and killed her. I'm not sure that Silver Fox and Grey Haired Female Cop know this although they are clearly in on the rest.

SoupDragon · 02/10/2019 10:00

Shaun was only their client in the first place in order to facilitate the whole thing. As Silver Fox said - why would a human rights lawyer be defending Shaun? The human rights aspect is the Sycamore convictions being based on fabricated evidence.

I'm not sure if Shaun is guilty of the original shooting or not.

The80sweregreat · 02/10/2019 10:08

Soup, it's complicated , but your explanation has made it easier for me to understand now. !

evilharpy · 02/10/2019 10:10

I had to go and look up the synopsis on the Radio Times website. Couldn't get my head around it at all.

@SoupDragon I think Shaun is guilty of the original shooting.

purpleme12 · 02/10/2019 10:17

Why would he keep asking if they believed he was innocent if he was guilty? Surely he'd just leave it if he was guilty and he'd got off with it
