Looks like Sherif spilled on why he was removed.

RagingWhoreBag · 17/06/2019 09:08

Yeah that was weird!! Surely if it was an accident, saying the c word should just be something that was edited/bleeped out.

I heard, though can not verify in any way, that he had already recueved warnings.

I think if it was an accident but then he was taking the piss when she was hurt, it was probably the right idea

If it's an accident you would feel really bad. If you then display an attitude that makes it look like you dont care, it may come across as though it qasnt an accident at all. Or there was som bad intention behind it.

ClubSandwich · 17/06/2019 10:04

@Shequakes the article I linked to on thread 5 stated Sherif had received 2 warnings already, once for calling Amber ‘lighty’ and another for using the word ‘rape’ during a discussion about consent. These bits are no longer in the original article though, which makes me wonder whether ITV have pressured them to remove the claims. Similarly, the original article also claimed Sherif had told of another contestant who constantly used the ‘N’ word whilst rapping but this claim was then edited and removed from the article. Although they have actually done a separate article on this now and ITV have denied footage with reference to the ‘N’ word.

ClubSandwich · 17/06/2019 10:06

Also to add to my previous comment - I’m sure during one of the first challenges (think it was the one where they had to slide into the gunge and read our cards) Joe broke into a rap and I’m sure he used the ‘N’ word in full. I could be mistaken though!

Theknacktoflying · 17/06/2019 10:15

I find it amazing that a show like this, especially in light of the whole JK episode and knowing it is in the spotlight, has such a questionable policy about who is removed and not making the reasons known.

Surely a statement like ‘XXX was removed from the set because of numerous breaches of xxxxx policy’ would be a lot more than creating the whole drama it did.

Sagradafamiliar · 17/06/2019 10:17

The Sherif exit story is a bit Hmm

I have to say that I hate the social cues/ASD talk regarding Lucie. E.g.: for her to believe a line has been drawn under something when someone says it has, is not a misreading of a social norm. There is nothing 'wrong' about her interactions. If anything, the girls are pissed off that she won't be provoked into arguments.

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/06/2019 10:19

Signing in.

fancynancyclancy · 17/06/2019 10:22

Lucie is hanging out with who she wants, and when Amy says an issue is over, Lucie believes it's over

But if Lucie thinks it’s over why use the food fight as a means of getting back, which everyone noticed.

Nesssie · 17/06/2019 10:22

Anyone else think Joe's behaviour is just dangerous? What he is doing to Lucie is classic emotional abuse and controlling.
I love LI and usually defend it against those that blame it for the deaths of Sophie and Mike, but even I think they should step in here.

Sagradafamiliar · 17/06/2019 10:28

Because it was a food fight, fancy. She would never have just started chucking food around unless being told to as part of a task. Boxing is excellent for letting off steam too, but unless it was given as a task, no one would go and punch someone unprovoked!

fancynancyclancy · 17/06/2019 10:30

to give Joe the benefit of the doubt I think he’s so focused on staying in/winning that its clouding his judgement. I don’t think he’s that in to Lucie however I may be wrong & he’s a psycho

Yamayo · 17/06/2019 10:31

Ok finally caught up with everything!

From what we've seen the only times Tommy has shown hints of a (nice) personality have been in his interactions with Lucie.
We could have huge rom-com potential if they defied the odds and realised they likds each other... Grin

Yamayo · 17/06/2019 10:32

By the way hadn't realised Joe had told Lucie not to cry because she was wearing lipstick.
To me that is the most chilling thing of all.

fancynancyclancy · 17/06/2019 10:32

But why mainly target Amy if she’s not harbouring any bad feelings? Would it have been ok for Amy to target her because it’s just a food fight?

Sagradafamiliar · 17/06/2019 10:35

Tbh from her talking about it afterwards, I think she thought it would look funny. They've had beef and now here they are lobbing food at each other and really going for it. Quite silly (food fights are awful anyway) but that's where LI have to take responsibility.

fancynancyclancy · 17/06/2019 10:36

But would it have been funny, a laugh if Amy had done it to her?

Sagradafamiliar · 17/06/2019 10:37

Well, she was but I guess Lucie is more competitive so she had the upper hand.

Sagradafamiliar · 17/06/2019 10:38

6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other. Can't get worked up about a food fight they've been set up to do. If someone comes out worse and they happen to be a bully then I don't care 🤷‍♀️

fancynancyclancy · 17/06/2019 10:43

I just think if Amy had specifically targeted Lucie (which on my TV didn’t seem to be doing) & admitted to it she would be in for major criticism. Everyone should be held to the same standard.

BenWillbondsPants · 17/06/2019 10:44

The food fight was just daft.

Maura made me laugh night talking about 'sex eyes' 😂

FieldsOfWheat · 17/06/2019 10:47

Everyone should be held to the same standard.

But the context matters - Amy has previously bullied Lucie and Lucie has not done anything to Amy. It's understandable she'd want to take her frustration at being bullied out in a food fight.

Just like when women are domestically abused over a long time then 1 day snap and hit their husband with an iron, they are given reduced punishment because the context and background matters.

fancynancyclancy · 17/06/2019 10:52

Lucie is isolated because of her conflict over Joe. Why is it up to the girls to comfort her & stop her feeling isolated? If she is such good friends with the boys why aren’t the boys stepping in & calling the girls out over their behaviour like they did with the balcony & Maura (who they knew 10 minutes)?
