At this rate, Ruhma will be richer than the Gobbys.

I don't normally watch telly on a Saturday afternoon (well just Sky Sports news) so it made a nice change.

Binglebong · 10/08/2019 22:20

Cake wars is great. Cupcake wars is just silly though.

NutButterNutter · 11/08/2019 09:43

I wish the big hair thing would come back. Who can't be areas with smoooooooth and sleek (probably massively out of date on that 👀)?
JBJ without a mullet preferred, however.
Cake Wars is most excellent, as is SYTTD.

toldmywrath · 11/08/2019 12:54

I'll have to watch a say yes episode. I don't think I've ever watched one all the way through.
My current Doctors replacement watch is Buying and Selling, an American import with identical twins Drew and Jonathan Scott.

I can sing the song all the way through.Grin

On Virgin it's 346

toldmywrath · 12/08/2019 14:36

Well I never.. I rarely even scroll through the 300s on Virgin.

Redshoeblueshoe · 12/08/2019 15:59

I rarely do, I must have been extremely bored Grin

toldmywrath · 12/08/2019 20:54

Oh dear, I actually watched the second half. Toni Basil (Mickie) was 38 in that video as a cheerleaderShock

TDogsInHats · 15/08/2019 13:12

We're moving slowly through the long Doctors hiatus, so it should be easy to spot the new me.
I'm fed up with the shorter days, but welcoming the cooler weather.
I'm going to have Aircon next year so I can cope with the extreme heat.
This means we'll never ever ever have another heatwaveGrin

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/08/2019 17:42

I've just read we are expecting A LOT of rain this weekend.
I too am glad of the cooler weather

Raahh · 15/08/2019 22:15

I'm sick of the rain. I hate rain. I'm not fond of it being too hot (unless I'm on holiday abroad, and that's been a while!), but I can't stand rain. I would rather just be cold. I am very much looking forward to Autumn. But only if it's dry. The dog agrees.

It's dd1's birthday tomorrow. 13. which is scary. It's been such a rubbish year, I wanted to do something nice -ish. But she's at an age where leaving the house is just too much effort, Grinand we might bump into someone she knows (social death), so I don't know why I'm feeling so guilty.

But that's what mothers do, isn't it? Feel guilty. Grin.

TDogsInHats · 15/08/2019 22:34

What a lovely month to have a birthday. My DH and DC are all summer. I'm mid winter and it's always freezing. Not fair.
Happy teenage birthday to Raahh DD. Flowers

TDogsInHats · 15/08/2019 22:36

Omg don't let her peers see her with her mum. My DC were mortified and I had to walk several steps apart from them. They didn't mind my purse, but my person was too much 😂

Raahh · 15/08/2019 22:41

Thank you! It was a bit deliberate , having her around the middle of the year (and being the youngest , school wise , has never held her back, the opposite in fact). It was due to ds being born in December- 29th- the day before my birthday. So I wanted to avoid another Christmas baby, as it's rubbish.

DD2 is the end of September.

Ironically, it has somewhat backfired- as it turns out, mid August (same day as MadonnaGrin), is a rubbish birthdate. Actually worse ,socially, than than a Christmas one ( I always ended up with haing to celebrate my birthday NYE, as I got older, as that's when people go out. Don't bother now).
It's bang in the middle of the summer holidays, no-one was ever around when she was younger and we could afford parties Grin, and now no one is around as they are all on holiday, and she doesn't want to do anything anyway.

i might just take myself out Grin.

Raahh · 15/08/2019 22:44

Oh yes, so long as I'm paying, it's ok....

Grin

Ds has a temporary job (finally) - it's at that fast food restaurant that does burgers McDonalds . We've been warned not to drop in and stare at him whilst he's training.

But, you know, if we happen to be passing...

TDogsInHats · 16/08/2019 09:00

That's great news about DS. I hope he settles in well and you get a discount card
