I've not watched Red Rock.
Only ever saw the first two episodes of 800 words.
I'm looking forward to Doctors returning but I get so sad that autumn is looming.

Thread bumping. Nothing very exciting to say. The weather has broken here today but the garden needs rain.

Fuzzy we had 2 weeks worth of rain over the weekend apparently.

My garden is a swamp .

It has been chucking it down all morning here.

The weather lately has been crazy.

I fully expect snow by the end of August.

It's very windy but warm and dry (so far) here today. I'm just so glad that awful heat has dissipated.

We had loads of rain on Saturday, but nothing like some areas.

Today, we have yet more rain.

So many of the main roads are flooded. Dh is supposed to be umpiring a softball tournament at the weekend- the field they use is currently under inches of water.

It looks very grim up north. So many floods and farmer's affected dreadfully.

Raahh my DD had to go to the hospital yesterday, she said the 3 main routes were all flooded. Luckily she managed to get there

Seeing Whaley Bridge on the news I can't complain about the rain.

Red it's really weird , the weather .I mean , Manchester doesn't generally get extremes of weather, and it it's so strange the things that have happened lately, My mum lives in Handforth near where the new bypass is- and it's a swimming pool .It was always flooding when they were building it.

I was at different hospital today, picking up ds. In Bury. It's high up enough there to avoid flooding .

Weather has gone very warm and muggy here again (down South), its not very pleasant but can't complain after watching the news

I'm ridiculously excited to find out a colleague does LARPing. I'm working up to asking them if they know Dr Al and His Unsold Guppies.

Not quite the same thing but I went to an English Civil War re-enactment recently, it was very impressive and obviously a huge part of the lives of the participants.

At least the weather has improved a bit the last couple of days. But my garden is still swampy.

And my dog has waded through every puddle he can find this morning.

Hope the people of Whaley Bridge and the surrounding areas are keeping safe. Must be horrible being unable to go home.

Raahh puddles are there for wading through.

The local news has just shown the contrast around here, between this year and last.

Last year, Saddleworth burnt for weeks due to the heat. The area is still scorched. And now we have torrential rain.

Next year-I'm predicting snow in August .

I think I'll plan a beach themed Christmas then. Maybe with a full on barbeque
