ExpletiveDelighted · 25/07/2019 07:41

toldmywrath · 25/07/2019 07:42

I hate hats in a heatwave.

OP posts:
toldmywrath · 25/07/2019 07:44

I also hate heatwaves.
I want it all to go away and be 22° max in the day and cool overnight.

OP posts:
toldmywrath · 25/07/2019 07:45

I don't want to work today, sob.

That would be my perfect summer too Told. Not looking forward to today at all.

Redshoeblueshoe · 25/07/2019 09:19

I've already been shopping. I'm going to do a little bit in the garden then I'm going to stay indoors. It's already too hot.

Raahh · 25/07/2019 10:51

I am very much a winter person. I don't own a winter and summer wardrobe- I wear the same thing all year. In the winter, I cover it all with a coat Grin.

Heat is fine, if you are on holiday, and have a pool/beach/ all the facilities you need around you. But it's years since I've done that Grin.

I do have air conditioning downstairs though (only because we have family who own a business, so have a butt ugly unit on the wall - but I do appreciate it on days like this.). We have a unit to put upstairs, but haven't ever got around to it.

I took the dog out early, after I took dd2 to school, and went to a field where they were cutting the grass, so it was damp underfoot . Far too warm now to take him out.

And the talk earlier of hats ,and then dogs- made me think of dogs in hats.

It's been a while since we've had this-

Pencilmuseum · 25/07/2019 14:13

i am sitting in the jardin (de max factor) remember that ad? I have just been reading and laughing out loud at "Barmy" by Victoria Wood - scripts from her series inc. Acorn Antiques. Still funny after all these years (published 1987). worth buying if you see it in a 2nd hand bookshop. strangely I am thinking about taps also but will take the plumber's advice. am a bit of an amateur re les robinets (a favourite French word of mine if memory serves ….)

toldmywrath · 25/07/2019 14:43

Lovely Raahh thanks for the dogs in hats. Sigh, it has been a while.

Lucky Raahh having Aircon. I'm definitely going to invest in some for the future. I have had enough of no sleep. Sad

Raahh · 25/07/2019 16:13

I saw the statue of Victoria, when we passed through Bury the other week. Didn't get chance to stop and look at it properly though.

toldmywrath · 25/07/2019 16:39

Expletive, I'm pretty sure they did the same last year. Filmed winter on the hottest day of the year.

OP posts:
Redshoeblueshoe · 25/07/2019 19:35

Well it serves them right. If they didn't have such a long break they could film winter scenes in autumn

Raahh · 25/07/2019 19:35
Grin
ExpletiveDelighted · 25/07/2019 19:46

I'm sure Corrie always had a 6 week lag between filming and broadcast, with no breaks, not sure why Doctors needs to be shot so far ahead.

FuzzyPuffling · 25/07/2019 20:34

No horrible heatwave here, just lovely warm weather. So very grateful not to be in Kent any longer.
It has cooled a lot this evening though, so perhaps the cooler stuff is heading your way, lovely people.

Redshoeblueshoe · 26/07/2019 07:07

Today there will be rain in the North West as I'm off to the beach.

Raahh · 26/07/2019 08:24

Many a car picnic were had on the shore front at Cleveleys when I was little. Grin
