I don't believe she's dead.
I think Villanelle wounded her but made sure she wouldn't die.
The last shot we see of Eve, she's in the Recovery Position.

I can’t wait to see how series 3 will start. I’m wondering if Eve put her bullet proof vest on after that little chat with Carolyn in the hotel room as she was scared that MI6’s sinister little operation might do away with her? Or maybe Villanelle will come back for her? I thought she looked upset when she was stamping off.

I love this series but like a pp said I normally hate violence. Never watched GoT or Breaking Bad etc because of this. Weird.

NationMcKinley · 24/06/2019 13:13

Maybe Eve will play dead then go undercover to stalk Villanelle. That might be quite entertaining. Much as I love KE I hope it doesn’t run and run and run like so many tv shows that have “found” a winning formula then go horribly stale.

SoonerthanIthought · 24/06/2019 14:07

Had an awful thought - did Carolyn's lot kill Hugh, to destroy the evidence that she'd been involved in the plot to have Aaron Peel killed?

I hope not - i want it to have been the 12 who shot Hugh, but on the other hand what was their motive?

Of course Hugh may not be dead - I hope not again, and that he is recovering in some hospital in Rome! Eve did ask Carolyn where he was so she hadn't completely ignored his fate.

summerofresistance · 24/06/2019 17:31

I loved the first series, and did enjoy the second series but I'm disappointed by the plot holes. Did anyone else feel it seemed to jump from one situation to another where actually a bit of explanation would be required.

Like for example - WHY on earth did Eve go to all the trouble of setting up getting Villanelle to do a hit on her, in order to speak to her, when in the next episode they want Villannelle to come work with them, so they just ask her via Konstantin.

Why was Villanelle so easily persuaded Eve set up the hit on her and not just trying to save her life? She let her off pretty easily.

Why did everybody just accept Villannelle working with them so easily? Was nobody conflicted about this or even moved enough to make a comment about it? Do MI6 no longer want to catch her now? If not, WTF was the whole of series 1 about?

foreverhanging · 25/06/2019 17:44

I have such a massive crush on vilanelle. I would also really love more Kenny in the next series

NationMcKinley · 25/06/2019 18:53

I wonder how long before Villanelle pops up on the baby name threads.............

JessMariano · 25/06/2019 20:10

I love how each location comes up on the screen in the same way, whether it’s Paris, or Basildon Grin

rosamacrose · 27/06/2019 00:56

Just watched the episode where Eve's husband wakes to see his colleague (paramour) suffocated on the sofa, after Villanelle's visit.
Music is the Italian song used as the theme for the film First Wives Club.
Off to bed, chuckling at that.

JessMariano and 'RICHMOND (long pause)' UPON THAMES' Grin

Sooner, was he just killing people like the secretary for his sick 'films'?

louise5754 · 30/06/2019 18:39

Can anyone explain why eve is so obsessed by vilenelle. However you spell it x

DarlingNikita · 30/06/2019 19:13

The challenge? Professionally, I mean. She must have ben working for MI5 for quite a while and presumably this is by far the most 'interesting' (looked at objectively) case she's had –the most skilled assassin and cleverest network.

Also, I think there's more than a hint that she and Villanelle are not so different and/or that Eve, with her slightly boring conventional life. would like to be a bit more like her.

JohnnyOla · 09/07/2019 20:24

Agreed on all points @summerofresistance

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 15/07/2019 09:25

Oh thank God - I have found my people! Grin I posted this on the other thread and am glad that posters on here feel the same way...

The emojis and Kill Commander text tickled me.
I am confused though - I know that you have spies used as double agents a lot and the whole enterprise is murky/dodgy and that potentially The Ghost/Aaron whatsisname represent a greater security threat and that Konstantin was always playing for both sides, Carolyn/the 12...but why have you had a whole series committed to catching Villanelle for that to be dismissed when you then decide to recruit her? despite her killing one of your team?
I know Carolyn = expedience but it's an odd turnaround. I still have 2 episodes to go, have we forgotten about the 12 entirely or is there a connection with Aaron. Plotting seems to be all over the place.
Also Villanelle saying the only thing interesting about Eve 'is me' - so she only likes her because she sees herself in her?
