It's sooooo good!

Just finished the last episode.

So series one and two complete in less than two days - made being poorly a lot more bearable!

Love love loved it.

Interesting that nobody has answered couchpotato's question - is Carolyn a baddie? Is that because none of us is quite sure?! ! She did trick Eve into bringing about a situation in which Villanelle killed Peel. But I dont think we learned that she's one of the Twelve - and konstantin must have left them as they were trying to bump him off at the end of series 1?

Unfortunately I am afraid I think Eve is now a sort of baddie - she's lost the moral compass she had in series 1! (The turning point being when she kills Raymond instead of just escaping with Villanelle - wouldn't have been too tricky, surely, with an axe embedded in Raymond's shoulder? Villanelle has not been a good influence on her!)

Well my thoughts on 'is Carolyn is she badie?' are yes and no.

She's been around a while and went through the cold war. she likes to play things by the book, but also in some situations longs for a time when just removing a person is the best option, without jumping through hoops. She keeps all her enemies and contacts close, As they can still be very useful. Eve was always useful to her, but once Eve went behind her back in the first series, her relationship changed towards her and she became expendable because she could never again trust the Eve was not going to through spanners in the work she no longer had control over her. She will always keep an eye on Eve and will pick her up again when convientent. She plays the long game with old school tactics.

I don't think she is part of the 12.

Basically she makes use of a loose cannon, plus she has a psychotic assassin she's been trying to track down sitting in the palm of her hand...........

Loved Villanelle, I think Jodie is a brilliant actress (I don't have a crush honestly 😳😳)

I know the feeling fotheringhay. I know 2 people who would love it - one heard about the violence and it put them off which I suppose is fair enough but I still think they’re missing out!

I’d like there to be more Kenny in S3, he wasn’t in it enough this series.

Anyone else notice Villanelle changed her boots to flats and back again in the final scenes? Can't believe that made it to the final edit.

Yes please to more Kenny in S3! Quite likely I expect, being Carolyn's son. Wasn't it chilling when she said she'd deliberately tried not to love him too much?

I was very impressed by Julian Barratt's acting, didn't realise it was him for ages!

I didn’t realise it was Julian Barratt for ages either AND I was looking out for him as I’d noticed his name in the opening credits......

Also love Kenny and wish he’d been in it more. Did we find out what had happened to Posh Hugo? The last we saw of him was bleeding in the hotel.

No I don’t think we found out whether he lived or not. I think it fits with the characters of Carolyn and Eve (Eve at that point) that they didn’t mention him at the end.

Yes it was quite funny that Eve seemed to have completely forgotten about him lying there in a pool of blood, like he just slipped her mind.

Fascinating how her personality shifted over time. Makes me wonder how many of us could be susceptible in the right (wrong) circumstances.

Did anyone watch Informer? It was about a young guy blackmailed into counterterrorism who also changed so dramatically he could never go back to normal life. That was brilliantly done too.

Yes I loved Informer. Apparently the guy playing Raza - it was his first TV role! Impressive.

I also hope in S3 Kenny will have to continue confronting things about his mother’s sex life, as he has had to do in the first 2 series!

Kenny’s weary look when he walked in on his mum, Konstantin and the half dressed guy from the Nairobi office having breakfast was classic.

Speaking of Carolyn, there should be a book with all her random musings in it eg “Stay nourished Eve. Buy some chops”

I totally missed how it went from major covert operation to track down Villanelle to Villanelle being part of the mi6 while they catch the proper bad guys. I don't know if I fell asleep and missed something or if there was no explanation!

Did anyone else notice the other female (can't remember her name) who was pregnant? Her bump was pretty small and then suddenly became much larger! How much time was meant to have passed. My and DH thought it was hilarious how it kept growing

Also was there any reason why they kept showing her bump and she kept touching it, stroking it etc?

Was it me, or was this series much more bloody/violent?

I enjoyed the first series, as I don't remember anything too graphic. I don't like violence porn. I thought Villanelle's kills were more 'clever' in series 1, just brutal in series 2.

I missed the sausage jokes/style of PWB.

@mydogisthebest yes! I totally noticed that! I wasn’t sure in the first episode if she was pregnant or not then suddenly she was huge. I was worried that there’d be some horrid story line about the baby. I have 2 theories:-

1. Something will happen about this in S3 especially if like S2 it starts as soon as this one finishes

1. It’s a nice way of showing a woman in a mega serious role being pregnant, travelling, hunting down psychopaths etc

I wondered if the actress was pregnant, like Olivia Colman was in the Night Manager.

But she barely looked pregnant in the first one and then by second or third she was really big. I didn't get the impression that much time was meant to have passed. I wasn't sure if it was meant to mean something or be a joke.

Also I noticed, as another poster pointed out, that Jody's shoes changed in the last one. She had heels on that suddenly went to flats then back to heels then flats again. Bad that it wasn't noticed

Not only what happened to Hugo but why?? Who shot him?

Just finished s2. Binged both s1&2 over 3 days. I have a massive crush on Villanelle now. Her style is just perfect. I'm still just fascinated at how often she eats.

Eve turned into a character I really disliked and Nico irritated me throughout both seasons. He was just really passive aggressive most of the time and I get that he feels gaslighted and lied to but I just didn't warm to him.

Kenny was brilliant, the looks he gave we're hilarious.
