I didn't get what was empowering about the women dancing in their pants.

I watched the last ever episode of MAS*H the other night on a Freeview channel. It's the Korean War through a U.S. lens. So worth watching.

I mean 'sooooo brilliant it's worth watching' for anyone who hasn't seen it. Or indeed who has.

MASH was brilliant. Did you see the episode when Hawkeye had a breakdown after being on the bus that came under fire? The lady smothered her chicken to stop it from squawking and giving them away.

According to a thread on Digital Spy, and maybe other places, the act that Dave and Finn did was actually being worked on by the BGT producers with another person. I forget his name, sorry. He was told by the producers that it wasn't going ahead but then it was performed by Dave and Finn instead. That is the general gist afaik.

Oh yes. It turned out be her baby she smothered to save them all.

It was an astonishing episode about war brutality, the effects on civilans, and PTSD before these things were ever really openly discussed. I guess a lot of it was an allegory for Vietnam as well.

I'm going to a D Day remembrance event on Thursday and there will be veterans marching. I hope they feel respected and remembered.

I think when people say the empowering dancers they are not referring to the pant-prancers but to the other dance group who did the votes for women dance at their audition

I was quite disturbed by that episode, which was the point really.

I'm still steaming over Simon Cowell's comments to Chapter 13. They were originally tipped to win and they are really talented. I was shocked by the poor quality of acts that did make the final.
