Sorry for the boring title...

OP posts:
PivotPivotPivottt · 02/06/2019 22:48

callmedoctor I haven't read the link you've just posted but I'm also reading digital spy at the moment and that username posted saying they called it that X was Marc Spell man with a Twitter link but when I clicked it the link had been removed! I didn't realise it was Jimmy!

itswinetime · 02/06/2019 22:49

See I don't believe there as anyway no one knew who it was so that makes me think more likely to be a set up and the fact it was always ant and Dec never the other judge is all a bit fishy especially when ant and Dec are up for any good publicity at the moment but nothing he did magic wise is different to what others have done 🤷🏻‍♀️ So there is enough doubt out there to get away with it.

Piggywaspushed · 02/06/2019 22:51

That article is very interesting, as is the video. It shows how scripted and staged everything is.

Well, if Kojo has had 'comedy consultants' on his work, I feel sorry for him.

PivotPivotPivottt · 02/06/2019 22:54

itswinetime agree with you 100%

Just caught up on that DS post. Wow!

Mamamia456 · 02/06/2019 22:57

I don't think the judges would be allowed to be in on a magic act, perhaps if it was a dangerous act they might be told how it's done before so they would know they are safe. I think once X revealed himself there was no way he could win as he wouldn't be able to be that x character at the royal variety. I am glad Colin won, it's the kind of thing the royal family will love, and for an 89 year old he has a good voice. Don't forget a lot of the acts that didn't win will probably get calls from west end productions and Las Vegas etc. Simon Cowell must have a lot of contacts.

PivotPivotPivottt · 02/06/2019 23:02

There's no way that X was there all that time with that costume and mask on and no one was aware who it was. Surely for security reasons they wouldn't allow this.

itswinetime · 02/06/2019 23:06

Reading that blog by the puppet guy is very eye opening of course everything was approved but I didn't realised they controlled what puppets someone can use! It is ridiculous telling someone that Simon is up for anything when he was so obviously uncomfortable! They may not be out and out fixing it but they are so obviously manipulating it to get the results they wanted!

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 02/06/2019 23:08

pivot that's exactly what dh said. I'm sure thecontestants will all have some kind of pass with photo ID to be able to enter the building back stage. They were all in on it. And after reading the link above from Digital Spy I think its all a lot more set up than we are led to believe.

Cherrypie32 · 02/06/2019 23:10

Does anyone know what the song/musical Mark sand tonight is? I had to google his last one but loved it. Was this from the Wairess?

Cherrypie32 · 02/06/2019 23:10

*Waitress

InterdimensionalHoleOfPancakes · 02/06/2019 23:12

Cherry my daughter is a huge musical theatre nerd and she said it was "She Used to be Mine" from Waitress. Mark was her favourite act by far

itswinetime · 02/06/2019 23:13

Yes mark sand she used to mine (I think) by Sarah Bareilles (at least that is the version I know) I have no idea if it's in a musical

Ratatouille76 · 02/06/2019 23:14

Feel sorry for Jimmy after reading that.

PatricksRum · 02/06/2019 23:14

Anyone watching bgmt?
Colin was just telling a story and Stephen interrupted him to play a vt and the celebs were laughing their heads off Angry

itswinetime · 02/06/2019 23:16

I watch bgmt for the first 5 mins with the judges then I turn off because it's rubbish. They will have missed judged that massively though people don't like rudeness like that!

PivotPivotPivottt · 02/06/2019 23:16

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends that's what I thought about photo ID etc. Plus with Jimmy posting on DS saying he called it and the Twitter link being removed. Very fishy indeed....

itswinetime · 02/06/2019 23:24

They have to know who is behind every mask! Someone even if the judges and ant and Dec don't. He wore all black and a mass made white mask anyone could have shown up and walked about. There are so many pranksters and people trying to expose back stage secrets there is just no way. In the same way they all knew the stunt man can get out and obviously had a signal if they saw his hand it was all fine there are certain things they just can't risk!

Mamamia456 · 02/06/2019 23:28

For security reasons the production team would know who X was, but I don't think Ant and Decor the judges did. Of course the show is fixed to a certain extent. Don't forget the act has got to be suitable for the Queen. Simon usually influences the way the public vote by his comments.

PivotPivotPivottt · 02/06/2019 23:32

I wonder if Simon knew? He obviously could have got the information from the production team but I wonder if he decided not to find out and wait for the big reveal at the final.

itswinetime · 02/06/2019 23:32

I'm waiting for someone on twitter or Facebook to prove that book wasn't in the cot last year unless they have and i have missed it

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 02/06/2019 23:39

Article has not surprised me. Been times before acts have been critised for their song choice yet it was what they've been told by producers etc to sing.

Grand Final
Colin Thackery - 25.3%
X - 17.8%
Ben Hart - 10.2%

Not a runway win.

itswinetime · 02/06/2019 23:42

Well I will be waiting a long time just watched the audition on you tube it was there!

itswinetime · 02/06/2019 23:45

Interesting final vote split I do think x could of won the reveal lost it for him 1) because people don't like him for whatever reason 2) because the reveal was the act it was his weakest trick so far.

GrumpyCatLives · 03/06/2019 00:57

Who came the bottom of the vote?

itswinetime · 03/06/2019 01:00

Vote percentages this series
