We have some lovely occasional posters who have lived in Korea, are Korean or have Korean partners/family members who pop in from time to time to provide the context for some of the more baffling cultural references.

We have a few frequently used acronyms:
FL/2FL = female lead/2nd female lead
ML/2ML = male lead/2nd male lead
SLS = Second Lead Syndrome (where the FL/MLis too thick to realise how much better the 2ML/2FL is)

We also abbreviate titles if they’re long, but usually only after using the full title & acronym together. Some of the regular favourite actors have been abbreviated too for speed/efficiency, although “him off Black” seems to have stuck for Song Seung-Heon. Don’t be afraid to ask for help/clues if we’re not making sense or have descended into acronym soup.

There’s a sweet Soompi article about Jun Hae In’s new romance at the mo. I’m liking the description of it - sounds nicely low key and grounded. I’m quite excited by that description.

I’m trying hard but I still can’t warm to Lee Min Ho. I just involuntarily shuddered when he and FL were snogging at the end of ep 19. Run away back to the sea, Cheong!!

Nice to see Tae Ho finally getting some action on the romance front, though. He’s so cute, like a puppy.

My teeth hurt because its becoming so syruppy as we head into the finale too.

Confession finished! Big round of applause! Lovely Eyes Junho was excellent as was captain ki (who has been in a few dramas... Think he was the Kings servant in hwarang!)... Female leads good to!

I have to confess I was watching out of the corner of my eye, waiting to see when it would be over.

Anyone else think Cheong’s baggy pink suit was wearing her, rather than the other way round, on her return to Seoul? The only explanation I could come up with is that she’s filled her trousers with mackerel to keep her going for her first few days back in the city. Only 25 min to go until I can tick this one off too.

Snort!! Mackerel & pearls stuffed down her trousers!! I do like her as an actress though.

Bea, so glad to hear Confession has a good ending, looking forward to getting on with it next. Might be worth exploring Junho’s back catalogue as it’ll be a while before his next one 😠

I think I'm fangirling over the wrong age group! They're all military age... I shudder to think what will happen when BTS come to that point... Jin will be off soon! (Sob!).... personally i think...as a reward for all the good they are doing for their country - culturally and economically - they should go for a year and a bit and enlist all together... so it's like a year hiatus...I mean if politicians and sports people can get an exemption then there should be some wiggle room.... don't think they should be totally exempt though as i think it's seen as a badge of pride/honour to go serve...

think PSJ had the right idea and enlisted when he was younger!

Oh... Lovely Eyes Junho gone from our screens... there isn't a huge back log for Junhop... need to finish Wok Of Love (which i still kind of like) he's made a couple of films... and there's chief kim (viki) but he's supposed to be a baddie in that! ... although he's a cute villain by all accounts!

I loved Chief Kim! He’s an attractive baddie and there’s a lovely bromance arc so def watch it!!

I’ll be at a loose end later now I’ve finished Legend. I need to finish Life on Mars. I got sucked into Legend just as Officer Yoon was abducted. I think I’ve only got 3-4 episodes left. After that I plan to fill my boots with The Guest and start watching One Spring Night weekly on Netflix and My Secret Terrius on dramafast. Abyss is definitely on the backburner now - there’s just too much other good stuff out there. Which is good because I saw on Soompi that there are only 3-4 episodes of Her Private Life to go... 😩

Waily waily!! I reeeaaally look forward to HPL I'm not sure if One Spring Night will replace it. When The Devil Calls had better hurry up and get on air so I don't have too much of a gap between flopsy haired hawt men

Abyss also on my back burner, just not bovvered about it.

Finished Are You Human - could have been a couple of episodes shorter but overall rather enjoyable. Oh and the bad Grandpa and gym owning dad from Human are also in Chief Kim! Small world.

Over to The Guest and Confession now, and rather relieved Bea reports a satisfactory ending for Confession!

Back watching The Guest. Do priests normally wear such well-fitting clothes? 🤣

I’m on ep 5 of Guest and there seem to be a lot of shots of KJW walking away in very snug fitting trousers & shirt whereas the other priest seems a lot more baggy & shapeless

Touch your heart.... After a "meh" beginning... EP 4 now and loving her character... Changing from cookie cutter ditzy actress to lovely kind character... I thought the scene with the accused student fraudster was lovely and touching... Enjoying it! 👍
