We have some lovely occasional posters who have lived in Korea, are Korean or have Korean partners/family members who pop in from time to time to provide the context for some of the more baffling cultural references.

We have a few frequently used acronyms:
FL/2FL = female lead/2nd female lead
ML/2ML = male lead/2nd male lead
SLS = Second Lead Syndrome (where the FL/MLis too thick to realise how much better the 2ML/2FL is)

We also abbreviate titles if they’re long, but usually only after using the full title & acronym together. Some of the regular favourite actors have been abbreviated too for speed/efficiency, although “him off Black” seems to have stuck for Song Seung-Heon. Don’t be afraid to ask for help/clues if we’re not making sense or have descended into acronym soup.

I’ve just spotted there’s something called My Princess on Viki with Him off Black in the main cast. Worth a look?

It didn't pass the 10 minute test for me a few months ago but may be worth another look just for Him Off Black.

Just watched ep 2 of Abyss and jury's still out. There is some nice playfulness between the leads and some comedy but also quite a bit of blood and random killing when you're not expecting it. Jury is still out.

I’m watching some more My Fellow Citizens. Its much funnier once his wife joins him on the campaign trail and the assemblyman advising him gives up trying to run a normal campaign. His blank whiteboard ‘strategy’ talk made me laugh.

a really good watch and the ML and FL were lovely!!...😍 ML is the ML in The Third Charm... I liked him in that but didn't finish that one as the reviews were really disappointing even though it was really promising at the beginning!...

Defintely worth a fluffy watch.. And yes viewers!... I blubbed!... ML is on my swoon list!! ❤️😍

Hope it appears on netflix or viki soon as I'd like to watch again without Greg James popping up telling me The Jockey Club is a great place to go!... Or being tempted with lovely clothes to celebrate Eid!... 😂😂... No boobage though!

The poor FL has to eat lots of vile street food at the market when she’s campaigning so as not to offend. I had to google “spoon worm food” to see what caused her to look like she was going to heave. Friends, I being you the spoon worm sometimes eaten raw. If you see ‘gaebul’ on the menu avoid, avoid, avoid. 🤮

I don’t know how to link to Soompi articles, as I somehow seem to have ended up with the app. Anyhow, there’s an article about “Spring Night”, which stars lovely Jung Hae In and will be the second drama after “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” (Something in the Rain) that director Ahn Pan Seok and screenwriter Kim Eun are teaming up on.

Bea thanks for reporting back on the ending to Are You Human, I will definitely start it after Missing Nine . I haven't had the Greg James commercials, I've been getting the robot lawn mower, no boobage thankfully

I have 2 episodes left on Missing Nine. Overall I have enjoyed it although the pacing is a bit slow once the story comes back to Seoul. JKH's character starts off as a bit of a prat but is rather sweet, and the characters grow on you, but it's a bit uneven in tone, sort of a mystery thriller with comedy elements.
